The kids zone staff are wonderful and I’ve never had to wait on a squat rack.

We love our Y! If you're on the fence about joining, pay them a visit and ask for a tour. And if you need help, their Fitness Coaches are top notch.

they can get some better equipment and not the best opinion but there should be like a litte area with calerbrated plates for power lifters because the green room only has 3 squat racks and iron plates would be nice

I enjoy the Y, hence 4 stars. Be aware of 10 day cancellation policy. I just cancelled due to a hurt shoulder. Apparently, I paid a $50 start up fee and now get to pay a $50 exit fee. This negative experience may linger long enough to make me hesitate on re joining after shoulder improves. ?

Come early in the morning to avoid all the kids who stand around equipment looking at phones and talking all afternoon..Update......oh well....this morning a guy has his laptop out sitting on the bench press bench emailing for at least 30 minutes...... ?

telling you right now to avoid this YMCA unless you want to share equipment with Wake Forest kids who monopolize machines and stare at themselves in the mirror all day. I only came here because my normal YMCA had a power outage. Save yourself and do not come here.

Will look into other locations to join, if I do. I have been a member for years with my family too at the Triad locations(my maiden name may been the problem but seem not). The lady rushed me on the phone and didn't help much to want rejoin as Novant health employee. Told I'd look at other gyms as our options.

The facility and staff are cool. it's the hours and the fact the room with the one punching bag has scheduled training all the time.I work 3rd shift so it kills my options to train significantly with a lot of gyms. why the YMCA at this location is not 24/7 is kind of ridiculous. it's busy and is I'm a fairly good neighbourhood. It's also kind of annoying to have a room where common weight training equipment gets locked up by trainers in weird intervals when you already have a constraint schedule for the gym. let's also mention they are sometimes kind of rude.my bad for needing to do deadlifts probably one of the best work outs on my routine so you can run a class and really have no other place for me to do a common core workout. probably gonna have to go else where. it's just a bit disappointing not being able to access a gym that gets 50 per person per month and is not hurting on memberships that kind of kicks the clients needs to the curb.and don't blame CoVid people are ready to get back on track so many stop squeezing pennies out of us so we can continue with the quality of our life by the pursuit of body progression. i typed this on my phone so please forgive the grammatical errors but yeah. We deserve more than that in general. also where is the smoothie bar it's the 2000's guys make more money there wth

It is an awesome gym. It has a variety of classes of varied intensity and styles and great equipment options for all types of workouts. The staff and the trainers are always super welcoming and I am looking forward to going their not just for workouts but also for the feeling of community and belonging it provides. I loved all the classes I tried, with Barre and Cardio Barre being my favorites, Body Combat most cardio intense, and Core, Metabolic Effect and Sh’Bam are awesome overall workouts. I haven’t yet tried some other general and many yoga and hot yoga classes that are on the schedule and neither i tried a number of bootcamps that seem quite riveting, so there is still a lot to explore.
