If you love vintage, this wonderland is worth a trip. My jaw dropped the first time I walked in. The clothing spans the last century and you’ll find so many gems. Hans is so helpful and full of vintage knowledge and interesting stories. I can’t wait to visit again and play dress up. It’s a treasure of a shop.

Putting on the Ritz is a hidden gem in Winston-Salem. Hans has a great eye for authentic vintage clothing and jewelry for all eras. He has a great personality, and his sense of style is impeccable. He’s a former stylist and has a good eye to assist you with selecting what you need.

Absolute gem, needed a nice outfit for a 19th century wild west murder mystery party and (with lots of help) found a perfect set of clothes. I'm tall and pretty lanky so it's rare that I find clothes that fit me, I was absolutely blown away by the selection (and how quickly the owner could navigate it). Would definitely recommend everyone stop by here at least once, just a really cool shop with tons of unique vintage items.

I am not a vintage clothing connoisseur but my wife acquired a bunch of old clothing and jewelry from her aunt so has been bringing it to Hans the past couple of weeks. When I walked in the shop, I was amazed at how much vintage (primarily women's) clothing and jewelry he has. I don't have the vocabulary to describe it all, but hopefully my pictures give a sense for those interested.I did end up walking out with some great costume cuff links which I will look forward to wearing to work or a night out.Hans himself is a character. He loves clothing, having worked in high end retail fashion in Atlanta before moving to Winston-Salem to care for his mother. If you visit, make sure you engage him in conversation about what he carries. He really has a passion for it.
