I was a member for 2 years and needed to end my membership due to job changes and the gyms time opening/closing time didn't work with my work schedule. I was getting billed without my knowledge for an additional 5 months of payment after canceling my membership in-person. No refund, just an email saying hey, we are going to charge you more money, we aren't going to cancel today but cancel 2 months from now.

It's 2024, and they are STILL asking you to "print and mail" a cancelation. Processes just as archaic as the business model.Do better.

They have fixed most of the issues at the gym. My previous review was very rude, and for that I apologize. To be fair, the water fountain was hanging off the wall and the carpet was torn for 6 months.Since repairs, there's not much to fix aside from replacing the stair machines

I used to love this gym, but the facility and staff desperately need to improve based on my customer experience the last six months. Unless your insurance or employer pays for your membership, I recommend you do not waste your precious post-tax income.A few observations:1. The gym started to smell bad in Fall 2023 (unclean, like a cat litter box) and has poor air circulation.2. There is at least 1 treadmill that has been pending maintenance for over 2 months. I am not sure if there is any cleaning staff either as equipment is often dirty beyond normal use.3. When I attempted to cancel my membership in person, a staff member tried to convince me to sign a scrap sheet of paper that had no contractual terms on it. I declined politely and asked to speak to management.I am not sure if these are corporate or local problems, but it is hurting the LA Fitness brand. Customers will leave and look for better options. They have a place for strength training, cardio, swimming, and sauna. Love it. There are classes too.

I like this gym for the most part. My only complaint is that it takes forever to fix things that we are paying for and should be able to use such as the sauna. It should not take almost a year to fix it. That is ridiculous. If the maintenance was quicker, this gym would get 5 stars easily. They have no urgency in fixing anything.I originally made this post over a month ago. & the sauna is still not fixed.

Giezi the general manager was an awesome to deal with it. He made my personal experience very good when it came to coming to LA Fitness! Very friendly, made me laugh and professional. I definitely recommend this gym and also working with him!
