Very nice facility and helpful staff. Unfortunately they only had large dogs and we want a smaller dog.

This place has gone completely down hill and the staff are some of the rudest and cruel people I've ever dealt with. I had a set of sibling kittens show up at my home and stay for 3+ days with no mama in site. I decided to clean them up and take them to the shelter to get help. I was greeted with a very nasty front desk lady that said they are not taking animals. I explained these were not my animals but strays. I was then met with several rude comments, a nasty attitude and a response of they will be euthanized because of space. I asked to speak with the directed because of how I was treated and was met with even worse remarks and attitude. I was told that why didn't I juSt keep them, put them back where I found them (my front porch for 3 days), thAt because I dropped them off 2 cats will now have to die to keep those two alive. All of this was done in front of my child as well. I'm not blind to the fact that we have a serious issue with ferel cats in our area. This is the only place that will take strays and I felt I was doing what was best for the kittens, I guess not. Being treated so nasty and like a complete criminal for doing the right thing doesn't sit right with me

Please do not bring any animals here. They euthanize even the sweetest dogs after having only been there for a short amount of time. If you're looking for a no kill shelter, steer clear of this one.

i would give a 0 star if i could. i brought a dog in that i had found because they stated they were a no kill shelter UNLESS " found to be suffering or dangerous" which this dog was neither of those. i noticed she was off the website so i messaged them and they let me know that they euthanized her because she was up for adoption for 10 days. i reiterated to that they have the no kill procedure posted on their website. and then try to tell me they dont have that posted on their website. i am absolutley appalled. i will post a pic along with this that exactly states what i said. then whoever responds on facebook messanger tells me that "you can blame the people dumping their dogs" you can blame your disgusting selves actually for not living up to what is posted on your website. if you want to support a good shelter go to GUILFORD COUNTY ANIMAL SHELTER. THIS SHELTER IS TERRIBLE

Had my dog quarantined there for three days. When he was picked up it was obvious he was not well taken care of. Obvious urinary tract infection and blood in stool when I got him home. He was traumatized being there and was labeled extremely aggressive. Sores on his legs and definite personality change. Shouldn’t be working with animals if you lack patience and compassion. So disgusted with this place.

One Star is very generous! We trapped a cat ( just a few years ago this was their policy) and took the cat to the pound. Only to be informed that the pound would not take the cat in. This after contact the previous day with an officer who said they would take the cat in! Sadly there is no satisfaction and we still have a cat problem but hey at least the county has a pound....but why does it, if they don't take in the stray animals? Very disappointed and unsatisfied with the Forsyth County Pound!

After I witnessed someone throwing kittens out of their car window onto the highway's oncoming traffic, I called an animal shelter for some guidance on what to do who directed me to the county shelter. The woman I spoke with was extremely rude and immediately started barking at me that they were not animal control and whatnot. She was not at all empathetic to the fact that I had just witnessed such a senseless act of cruelty and was trying to get help (I had recovered only one of the kittens and wasn't sure what could/should be done at that point). All I wanted was some help and guidance after witnessing something so heinous, and all I got was rude and unempathetic people.

They had took our dog away from us they said they would give her back the 14th of September and in the PAPER that they gave to us it clearly states they have to wait 3-5 business days for someone to get notified to pick up your pet but sadly they killed her on the morning of 14 of September that in the paper clearly sated shes was going to leave that god awful place the staff said it so casually we euthanized your dog when we made the call to pick her up that day of the 14th sadly shes not here with us no more because of them be...

I adopted a cat from here I have a second cat I have had for three years. I was told he bites and I over looked it because he was 5 and was gonna be a senior soon and I wanted to show him love. I had to return him due to him trying to attack me when he got out one night and was trying to mess with a stray cat. When I filled out the adoption paperwork I was told if I had problems with him I cold bring him back without any problems. When I did bring him back I told the lady at the front desk what happened and she had an attitude and tried to make me keep the cat after I told her why I couldn’t. It was also not safe for me since he tried to attack me twice. I would not be coming to this shelter again

2 stars for the friendly staff. The supervisor is not polite. I had to ask her to please speak to me in a respectful, adult manner because she was previously so rude. Thankfully, she did change her tone but after several instances of rudeness w her, I won’t be adopting anymore pets or donating to this facility.
