It's Costco, need I say more... Did I mention the food court. Cheap delicious pizza, $1.50 for big hotdog and a soda

I am a huge fan of Costco. I've been a member for over 25 years. Before that my parents were members back when it was called Price Club in the 80's when I lived in CA. It's safe to say I've been eating at the Costco food court for many many MANY years. I've seen menu items come and go over this time. The hot dog and pizza have always been a staple. I used to love the supreme pizza slice they offered. Unfortunately, that disappeared along with the Polish sausage they used to serve as well. Every time a new item comes to the food court I go in and check it out. They had a barbecue sandwich that was OK in my opinion. It was super messy to eat, so much so they served it with a cardboard collar around it. For a long time they offered a turkey pesto Panini that I fell in love with, and would get it almost every time I went shopping there. I miss that one! The newest sandwich offered was the roast beef sandwich. Again, it was just OK for me. The dessert options were always just the strawberry sundae or a fruit smoothie. They then added the chocolate sundae, the mocha smoothie and the churro. I tried the churro when they first added it and was very unimpressed. It was flavorless, and I always felt it needed so much more cinnamon sugar than it had on it. One of the best desserts they offered was a chocolate coated ice cream bar. It was huge! I miss that one too. The newest addition is the huge chocolate chip cookie. This cookie is served warm and it costs $2.49. If you look at it through the window you might think they overcooked it however, don't judge a book by its cover. It is perfectly cooked. The outside is crispy. The inside is gooey and chewy and full of chocolate chips. I think this is by far my favorite addition to the Costco food court. I hope this one lasts because it is the best! If you think these are the same cookies, you can get in the Costco bakery by the dozen think again. The ones in the bakery are not nearly as delicious as the ones in the food court. They don't even compare. Next time you hit up Costco, treat yourself to this delicious cookie. Share it with someone you love.

I have never had an issue with Costco until tonight. In fact, I normally brag profusely on how I love the store and even more so their customer service. So maybe tonight was an exception but it left a “mark” on Costco and it has me potentially shopping for a new pharmacy.I have an HSA card that I have used for some time to pay for my families’ prescriptions without issue. Lately, my card has not been working and they would remedy the situation but typing the card number in which allowed the payment to go through. Until one day recently, I went to pick up medicines and was told by the cashier she was no longer allowed to type card numbers in per her manager. I didn’t want to get her in trouble so I just paid for all the medicine with my regular debit card.Well, this week it was time to refill one of my prescriptions. Please note, the refill was for thyroid medication. In an effort to avoid my card not working I called the Costco pharmacy to verify they do not accept my HSA debit card brand (Mastercard, debit). The person I spoke to in the pharmacy confirmed that they DO accept my card type. I went on to explain my past issues with the card and she put me on hold to check on answers to my questions. What she ended up telling me was that as long as I had the card in hand when paying that they could just type the card number in to process payment if it did not work when inserted. So, being told this information and needing my medication ASAP I decided to go ahead and put in my refill. If I had been told they could not run my HSA card I would have had my prescription transferred instead. I’m fact, she specifically stated that whoever didn’t type my card numbers in the last time must have been confused about manger instructionsLo and behold, I arrive tonight to pick-up my medicine and am told they can’t punch in my card numbers. The Costco manger on duty was called and she basically confirmed they can’t punch in the card number?!?!? She was zero help, other than giving me the business card for the pharmacy manager. She was not going to make the situation right, even after I explained they were the ones who gave out wrong information! I will note that the prescription was not expensive but I was furious because I had taken specific steps to avoid this EXACT scenario. After I stood my ground, one of the pharmacists who heard the issue at hand, spoke up and said she’d be willing to give me the medicine and void payment all together. I’m thankful she did this for me. I would give her a positive review if I could because she is the only one that seemed to want to remedy their error.I kind of feel like when you find out a “best friend” is really not who they said they were all along. I will no longer rave about Costco’s customer service.

My wife and I are traveling from California to the North Carolina mountains. I was in a panic. I wear Costco Hearing Aids and I have a molded ear piece with a wax guard tip. I ran out of tips and while on the road called the Costco Hearing Aid center in Winston Salem and talked to Diana. She said come on in as they had the ear tips and removal picks. We went in and she was sooo friendly and helpul. Cleaned my aids and changed the tips and gave me extra plus a pack of batteries. What service....a big shout out to Diana for her excellent customer service !

This review has nothing to do with the shopping side of Costco. No, I'm just here to preach about the pepperoni pizza. Two bucks gets you a wedge of pizza big enough that it only feels right to eat it folded in half. Nothing on that piece of pie is healthy, and there will be grease, but I know of no place in the area where $2 will get you a good lunch. The dough is a little heavy for me, but that's probably the right choice due to the rendered grease. The sauce is flavored surprisingly well and there's enough present. Plenty of pepperoni slices are on each wedge as well. Even better: a quarter slipped into a nearby machine will reward the purchaser with a chilled bottle of Kirkland water. A full meal for less than three bucks. I'm maybe a bit too picky about hot dogs, for I haven't been as pleased with Costco's value minded hot dog deal. The lack of slaw and chili probably contribute to my less glowing view of the sausage. But that's okay. The pizza and water suit me just fine. #cheapbastard

Never disappoints, always a pleasant shopping experience. Plenty of options and new items that you don't see everyday.

Excellent products here, especially the ones with Kirkland brand. I put 4 stars due to the lack of technology on their website and checkout. Lines are long and the self checkout is not a fun process, most of the item we buy here are large and they make you take everything out of the shopping cart in order to scan them! Way behind Sam's on this part.

Never had a problem getting my prescriptions filled, even those called in by my doctor. It clearly states when the pharmacy may be closed for lunch. Also, the vaccine card has always been required when getting a second shot or booster, even if you go to the health department. I like the pharmacy and staff, they're always friendly.

Avoid! They advertise as open, yet they choose to randomly close for lunch leaving customers to guess when they are open or closed around mid day. If you are going to close for lunch, why not make it at a set time every day so customers aren't left hanging for 45 mins because they were unlucky enough to show up when the pharmacy decided to close for lunch.A store manager explained they do it this way because it's how they've always done it for his 17 years there. I have to ask, does management use their brains to try to improve the customer experience? If so, they are terrible at it because this is such an easy and cost free fix! If not, then they are guilty of sheer laziness and complacency. Either way, the store just lost one family of customers. Let us know if you ever improve the customer experience!

Memberships/Returns: Had a great experience here when getting my new card. Quick service, friendly workers, and very knowledgable. Never had to return anything but I have never seen a very long line at memberships. Gas: Probably one of the smallest Costco gas stations I've ever seen, but I've never had to wait more than 5-10 minutes even on a very busy day. There are workers walking around to make sure everything working fine and guiding traffic as needed. Also seen workers help some elderly people or people who aren't too tech savvy which is very nice. Food court: One of my FAVORITE parts of Costco, nothing can beat that $1.50 hot dog and soda. Chicken bake is also great and flavorful but can sometimes be salty, and the soft serve is also great. Love that they have self-order kiosk (card only) which has made the process so much faster. Actual wholesale: Honestly a very normal Costco with a huge parking lot. Very big but great layout, easy to navigate, obvious whats on sale and isn't on sale. Samples here and there. Checkout can be brutal on busy days but since they introduced self-check outs for less than 20 items it's been a lot faster. Overall no real complaints.

This location was pretty good. The employees were nice and helpful and the restroom was clean. I successfully used the self-checkout too. They had some tempting samples, but I passed on them because they weren't organic. I usually don't eat samples anyway. I don't want food in my teeth and I always shop with a list. I craved organic blueberries, but they didn't have them. I even braved the freezer, but ended up with organic salad. They had organic raspberries and organic bananas though and I almost bought their organic mangoes. I was surprised that they had organic wine and that it was inexpensive. It wasn't the brand that Costcos typically carry when they carry it, but they had a cab and a white wine. They also had organic pumpkin seeds and organic cashews. I bought their manuka honey because it was $30 for a pound and it has a MGO 263+ rating. I was stoked that they had organic noodles. In fact, I am going to make some right now. I didn't see Amy's organic soup, but I might have overlooked it. I didn't want to lug around cans anyway. The self-checkout stand required an ID check by an employee twice (once for each bottle of wine), so I had to flag one down and wait a minute because he was busy. He didn't ask me to show it to him though. If you're in a hurry and buying beer, wine, alcoholic, etc. you may want to save time and use the regular checkout because self-checkout will delay you.
