My trip to club champion started after I broke my driver head in tight driving range bay. I'm left handed which makes finding a good range of driver specs difficult so I decided to go the custom route. The fitting process was comparable to other custom fitters I've been to but nothing out of the ordinary. The order and build process has been a nightmare. I ordered a driver and 3 wood from the results of my fitting on March 1st. When I ordered my clubs, I was told they would drop ship to my house within 3 weeks. I thought this was reasonable since Callaway was quoting shipping within 7-9 days on custom clubs with the same specs and this would give me plenty of time to practice before tournaments started. At 2 weeks I contacted Jeremy since I hadn't received my receipt and he apologized and emailed it. During this phone call he indicated that all parts were in for my driver, and it would go ahead and be built and ship to me while they are waiting on parts for my 3 wood. He also indicated these parts had been shipped and they were anticipating delivery later that week. At 3.5 weeks I found the location online where I could track build progress and it noted that they were still waiting on parts. I emailed Jeremy indicating I had seen this and asked that they go ahead and ship the driver because I had a tournament coming up and I'd like to get some practice in with it. I did not receive any reply to this email so at 4.5 weeks I texted him and told him my tournament was April 12 which would be at 6 weeks from the original order and I needed to have the driver by that time. He assured me it would get shipped out and I would have it. He also stated that they had expected my 3 wood parts would be in April 1 which had already passed. At 5.5 weeks my build status changed to "in line at build shop" and anticipated delivery would be 4/11-4/16. I did not receive the drive by the tournament. On 4/15 the status changed to anticipated delivery 5/2-5/7 which will now cause me to miss two more tournaments without a driver. I will not order from Club Champion ever again and I will not go back to the Winston Salem store.Update: spoke with corporate and they’ve told me that they try to push everyone’s order through but due to the circumstances they would attempt to move it up. It is now scheduled for 4/25-4/30 which may mean I get it before I miss my 3rd tourney but not guaranteed.2nd Update: Afternoon after I posted the last update I got an email stating that my clubs were being shipped and they arrived the following day which means I had them before my Saturday round. It was still well after I was originally told i would have my clubs but corporate did push the club building when I was in a pinch and I appreciate that.

Customer service was very good. Jeremy was knowledgable. Was my first fitting experience so I enjoyed going through a couple options. I did feel rushed, especially for the cost. I booked a full bag fitting, 3 and half hours. Didn't need or want a putter fitting, wanted to spend majority time on the irons. Jeremy did ask if I wanted any other fittings but we spent maybe 10 minutes on the driver, 5 minutes on the 3 wood. About 25 minutes on the wedges. Total time from start to finish was 2 hours 15 minutes. Was charged $325.No issue with the service, they did a great job of honing in my settings. It's just the price is way out there. I figured they'd want you of course order new clubs through them, but at $4,600...no way am I paying that much for an iron set and two shafts for a 3 wood and a driver. That's so far beyond even considering in price.I wouldn't go back just because of the price. Staff was excellent and I really felt like they knew how to fine tune to find the equipment to fit my swing, but it's just too pricey to do it again. As much as I would love to purchase the right equipment and probably take about 5 strokes off my game, it's not worth $4,600 plus sales tax.

If I could give a zero I wouldNot a good experience at all. Read all the fine print and drill down on every offerYou have to buy clubs the day you walk inI had not played golf in 10 years. I hit balls for 3 hours and they claim they can tell which club combination is best for me I disagree. What if I am just mishitting because of my skill set. They should listen more and sell less. They are no doing anything illegal beside high-pressure salesI bought the clubs that day. The web site said there was a guarantee. (Again drill down to the fine print)I asked to discuss this with a manager 4 times and was told they do not allow this. (There must be a reason)I explained why I did not like them and they told me to keep hitting them.I told them I would rather return brand new clubs vs used club sand again they said to keep hitting them.I paid over $1200 they offered my $450 for trade-in (after an email fight) after only using them once, some clubs never.Again nothing illegal going on here but you get a little used car sale feeling when you go here.I ended up going to a local small club shop called Country Club Golf Center. They were GREAT!They “listened” to me and watched me hit some balls then started make suggestions. They then gave me a very fair trade in (more than double what was offered here towards new irons and I bought a driver and other stuff from them. Now that’s customer service. It’s not the money that is the issue for me it’s the process. Everyone want to buy something…Nobody wants to be sold.I would stay away unless you are on the PGA tourJust my 2 cents

My fitter was Will Matherly and I couldn’t have been happier with how we went through the fitting process, answered all my questions, and explained things in a way easy to grasp!

I finally decided that it was time that I got properly fit for a set of irons so I booked a fitting with Club Champion in Winston-Salem. Over the last four or five years I've never really been comfortable with my purchases and I was hoping that this fitting would help. Jeremy was my fitter and right off the bat he made me feel very comfortable. He watched me hit my irons to get warmed up and asked a few questions on what I was looking for. Over the next little while it seemed like a seamless process to get it narrowed down to not only what type of iron I should have but what brand as well. Jeremy was extremely patient because I must admit I was a little nervous about making some of the changes. He was very understanding and made me feel very good about what we ultimately decided on. When it came down to it there really wasn't a choice because the numbers don't lie. I was more than happy with the fitting and can't wait to get my clubs. I'm looking forward to going back for the same process with my woods.

After yesterday's driver fitting, I will Never buy a club from a box store again. Love playing golf but age and injuries had shortened up my game. I felt like I was leaving yards on the table with my driver, which is a decent driver, but felt like I needed to see if I could gain even a little bit more. I came away absolutely stunned, not exaggerating here. I bought a new driver with, most importantly, the right shaft and gained 20+ yards. My fitter, Jeremy, was patient, friendly, knowledgeable, and competent and we went through 3 different heads and countless shafts to get my drive, with my abilities, to its best. I am thoroughly impressed. Will be going back for a hybrid and gap my long clubs better. Can't wait to see how this affects my scores. Caution, it's not cheap. But like so many other things you really get what you pay for. HIGHLY recommend.

I had a great experience with Club Champion in Winston- Salem. Jeremy was very knowledgeable and customer friendly. He took the time to be sure I understood the process every step of the way. There was no sales pressure. He gave all the information I needed but allowed me to make the decision. I would highly recommend Club Champion.

I took my son (age 15) for a full bag fitting Jan 24th at the Winston-Salem store. Jeremy was the gentleman doing the fitting and I could not be more pleased with him! He knows his stuff when it comes to fitting someone and does not pressure you to buy anything and I truly appreciate that. I will make the drive to Winston and Jeremy from Lincolnton when ever my son needs ANY type club or advice on any changes! I highly recommend Club Champion in Winston! See you in a few weeks when the clubs come in.

I deeply regret purchasing my irons at this (or any?) Club Champion store/fitter. I must start by owning up to the fact that I was allowed to be talked into purchasing irons that ended up being totally wrong for me. I'm 65, no longer hit the ball much beyond 200 yards (driver) and was fitted at this store with Callaway Apex Pro irons with stiff, steel shafts. I previously had a very low trajectory and I STILL DO! After playing about 8-10 rounds with these, I don't understand how these irons are supposed to improve my game! In fact, I've gotten worse. Additionally, I was up-sold on Pured shafts and I should have rejected those as I don't think puring shafts is nearly as important on irons as woods. I'm very dissatisfied with this Club Champion after spending over $2200 for 7 irons that I cannot play. BTW, my 32 year old son is a 5 handicap, hits the ball a ton of distance and was fitted (at another CC store) with the regular (not Pro) Apex with regular flex steel shafts. All of this just doesn't make any sense. I would AVOID CC for fitting or purchasing any clubs based on my experience.

Fitting was satisfactory. Fitter indicated 3-4 weeks turn around time on new driver. Ended up being almost two months with Club Champion blaming the manufacturer. Rather than paying retail and waiting forever, recommend purchasing club(s) elsewhere after fitting.

Jeremy Wright is awesome when it comes to club fitting in Winston Salem. Awesome service and knowledgeable. The wait time for the clubs due to “Covid” though is something left to be desired.

Jeremy was excellent to work with. He was honest with me and even recommended not to buy a club for certain reasons. I would highly endorse this business.
