Not one bad thing to say about this campground. Friendliest owners and employees. Grounds crew was very nice and respectful. Laundry facilities are clean and the donkeys are awesome to look at. Loved the fireworks for the 1st of the year!

We just stayed overnight at the end of Nov 2023. We were in a pull through space and had great neighbors, who decided to stay 2 more nights as they were having so much fun with visiting family. The 4 donkeys and many ducks were cool. Lots of improvements are in process around the pond. They were down to one public bathroom, but the laundry was working. There are a lot of full time or longer term residents in the back. One of them has a feral cat with cute kittens. They have a camp store and propane service, which is a plus! The owner and front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. Even called us once we left to let us know our TV antennae was left up. We will def return again when in the area.

That is a good place and excellent service. We went there for baseball tournament close to there. We enjoyed the animals and the play ground.

This place is only getting better and better. The owners are really dedicated to improving the visual appeal with upgrades to the main buildings. There are limited public restrooms but they are shower, water closet, and sink combined.Overall very quiet and very close to Wilson for plenty of sight seeing (historic downtown) and food / fuel.Safety: Well lit walking areas. Gravel roads but well compacted.

Awful! Was looking for long term for about 3 months and they kept Jerking me around telling me in a few days pay top dollar by the day then paid top dollar for another week and a half had 600.00 dollars for 14 days and I left on day 13 ! What a rip off ! They were RUDE AND IGNORANT!! woman behind counter actually came out from behind counter and got rite in my face on day 13 and said no one's leaving and your site was booked on Sunday! Absolute liars !! Look around and it only took half hr. To find an absolutely beautiful rv park 100 fold better at a lot better price! Please don't waste your time! And do yourself a favor and stay away from these PEOPLE!

Old school roadside campground. Staff friendly. Great for overnight or short-term camping. Amenities are severely limited. Small pool, four donkeys, and some ducks pretty much it. Most shade taken up by long-term parking. So don't expect much shade. The camp store is a bait shop, nothing else, so if you need it, bring it. Overall, well maintain but not a place to keep your kids entertained.

We stayed here for a week while getting our son settled into college. It's about 20 minutes from Rocky Mount and NCWU. When we first arrived we were greeted by the owner on a golf cart and he took us straight to our site. Having stayed at a lot of grounds this review is just our opinion on our stay and hope it helps out fellow campers passing through. Pros: the salt water pool is clean and well kept. There is no shade at the pool area so keep that in mind during the hot summers. The bathrooms/showers are single use, very clean. Wear shower shoes bc the drainage mats hurt tender feet. There are concrete pads on most of the sites. There's already a hose heater installed on the water meters just make sure you have a heated hose as well for winter camping. Free Wi-Fi that is very strong signal. Check in and check out is simple. Majority of the sites are pull through. The fire rings are made of stone. Nice picnic tables on all sites. Our site was very level and didn't need much level assist. Propane refill tanks on site. Cons: Our MAIN complaint was that there are limited sites available for campers due to so many people that live there long term. Toward the back of the campground are some VERY run down campers and it's kinda gross back there. The entrance can be easy to miss and needs better signage. Most of the short term sites are not shaded at all so make sure you've got canopies. If you use a credit/debit card to pay they will charge you a fee. Use cash if you can. Overall, the staff there were very nice and accommodating. We will definitely stay here again bc the pros outweigh the cons, it's very convenient and close to our sons college, and their kindness and welcoming nature is the best seller.

Okay for a night or two. New owner has plans for improvement. Does have a nice swimming pool for campers only. No trails.

Gem of a campground. Owner very hands hands on and very accommodating. 20 miles off I 95 but very worth the drive.
