The hotel has been recently remodeled and looks lovely.The staff was exceptionally friendly, especially the front desk clerks and the sweet young lady in the dining room. The only down side is the water pressure which fluctuates making the shower experience unpleasant. This is the responsibility of the city water authority, however, and has been addressed by the hotel without successful resolution from the city of Wilson.

This hotel is a 2 star at best. My room smelled like cigarettes. The counters are dusty. The floor is dirty, the shower looks dirty with rust and mold ring around the drain. The toilet seat was had something dark on it. Thank God for Clorox wipes. The bed was just a cheap mattress sitting on a platform without anything holding it in place. So, the mattress would slide around out of place easily. I made the mistake of coming late at night but, I’m glad we’re here for just 1 night. I called to make the reservation and the guy booked the wrong room and by the time I checked in and realized the mistake, the hotel was sold out. This little town needs better options. Never again, that’s what I get for cheating on Hilton.Rooms: Dirty, thrifty, small, and old.

We've stayed at this accommodation twice in the last year. Great location. Easy on-off this exit. The rooms were well equipped, clean, and comfortable. Plenty of food choices close by for dinner. The complimentary breakfast was good, especially the make-your-own blueberry waffle.

I’m a titanium elite bonvoy member. I have been to over 350 Marriott locations. I would have to say I was very impressed by the attitude of the front desk representative Rachelle. She was very helpful and had a great attitude. I sometimes go to some Marriott branches that have bad attitudes. But this lady really tends to her customers. She was helping someone when I came in. And when she got to me she had great energy. I definitely recommend this property to stay

A 5* Fairfield experience. I usually stay at Fairfields when I travel, so have been to quite a few. To summarize - this ticks all the boxes. Clean (yes), nice rooms (yes), quiet (absolutely), and safe (yes). The location is great, right off i95, and the area/town seems relatively safe and peaceful, at least compared to other NC towns (cough Goldsboro). Shout out to Melissa at reception who welcomed me very nicely with a smile. Makes you feel like your business is valued, even though you're just a 'number'. Breakfast was a bit underwhelming but it could have been just the day I was there, as the juice machine was also broken. Will definitely come back if in the area again.

Conveniently, during the Thanksgiving weekend, there was no continental full service breakfast because the apparent single point of failure cook was "under the weather. " was there no one to fill in? This is the way of the future in hotels. At chexk in, the front desk person displayed less than stellar customer service.

Without a doubt one of the finest hotels I’ve ever stayed at in my life. Room was clean and slept 4 easily. Breakfast was outstanding fresh eggs, sausage, OJ, oatmeal and biscuits! Would definitely stay again.

They didn't have the room my wife reserved. So we had to cancel, because we couldn't sleep 4 people in the room they tried to provide. After this one, we called multiple hotels and looked at the sites, and they had no rooms. We drove further north, and the Roanoke Rapids and the Hilton Garden Inn, which showed a two full bed room, were available. Once we got there, that's when we found out about the system issue. That's where we found out about the issue of the booking system the hotels used and that the hotel here had zero rooms. We were traveling from Miami after our cruise to NW Baltimore County in Maryland (4 people). We ended up not staying anywhere in NC and driving through the night. It ended up sucking, because I had been driving since before 8 am and got home at 338 am.

I’m going to be honest here because I think other travelers deserve to be aware.This hotel has nothing (but a nice gym) going for it. We arrived to a clogged bathtub, inoperable AC, and broken down laundry facilities. We were ok with the bathtub situation because as long as we took quick showers it would hold, but AC stopped working in the middle of the night so we had to move to another room (extremely inconvenient!). Rachel upgraded us to a king executive suite and approved extended check out (from 1200 to 1pm— we are Marriott Gold members and get this most of the time regardless but grateful) and was fairly attentive to our discontent. This was a one-night stay so keep in mind we spent our only night with no AC. Concerning the laundry, we read it was not working from another review 4 weeks back, but assumed it would be fixed by now—that was not the case. Very annoying as we have been on the road for a while and this was supposed to be our recoup stop as hotel is not equipped with a pool. Issues like this should be advertised before booking.Free hot breakfast was decent but we have had better. Coffee stopped at 0900, again not the best for travelers. Tons of tiny bugs flying all around. We will not return to this location and would recommend others to approach with caution.
