Low class service for premium prices. There is no passion for animals in this place. They are completely focused on making as much money as possible. They will recommend unnecessary check ups for young healthy dogs. $450 for a teeth cleaning and they kept our dog there for 9 hours. They broke her $70 leash and didn't offer to reduce the bill.

We have had our fur babies for a month (two 2 year old tabbies), and one of them suddenly was throwing up anything he ate. It turned out to be hairballs, but not diagnosed by the vet, we never saw the vet. What we got instead was an "apointment" scheduled a week ahead of time where we were told they have a 9AM, 11:30AM, or a 2:30PM available. We took the 11:30AM and was told there will be "a wait". Yes there usually is a reasonable wait (ain't my first rodeo). 45 minutes go by without anyone at the desk peaking over and saying how much longer it may be. We asked at the desk if they had an idea how much longer. Another hour was the answer. While waiting, a nice man was also waiting with his pup. He had just gone in at 12:10, he had taken the 9:00AM "apointment". I'm so happy my cats throwing up problem was only hairballs. Throwing up could be hairballs, but it could also be so much more. I am also happy that my streak of NEVER paying this place a dime will be unbroken.

I am absolutely appalled by the veterinarian service we received at Wilmington Animal Hospital. We recently moved to the area and took our 1 year old puppy in to receive his Bordetella Booster and have his annual physical. My partner waited in the exam room with our puppy Ludo, for 30 minutes before being seen by the Veterinarian, I was outside walking our other dog, they don't like to be far from one another. After waiting, they pushed all of Ludo's shots on him, shots that he wasn't due to have until February. Not only did they push shots early on him, they buggered up his Lymes disease vaccine by saying he isnt due until September. When I went inside after his appointment to ask about the discrepancy on the receipt, I stood there for 10 minutes and wasn't acknowledged, so I left and decided a phone call was best. When I called to ask about why my Ludo had been given all of his shots 2 months early and why was his Lymes Disease changed from March to September the receptionist told me I was wrong until I told her I had his charts in front of me, it was only until then that she checked the chart and realized that THEY had made the mistake. We were also supposed to receive an email from the veterinarian in regards to a suggested food for Ludo, thus far, I have had 3 emails from Wilmington Animal Hospital, one asking for a review, the other a mass produced "your name here welcome to the family" email, and the other trying to get me to book an appointment for my other dog, nothing from the veterinarian. It seems that Wilmington Animal Hospital is only concerned with the volume of their clients, not their well-being.

I saw another post about not having your previous pets records. They had all my pets records when I arrived because I provided that information for them. It is your responsibility as a pet owner to have all that set up. Not the vets. As when you have a child you provide all previous child's records so the Doctors know. Don't blame the Dr for your lack of pet ownership. And having all the paperwork of your pets issues.

If you are looking for a Vet, look no more. WAH, is the best. They have taken care of our Snowy since we adopted her in 2019. Sadly, our beloved Snowy crossed over. WAH, was always there for her with the best care ever. Everyone from Trinity and the rest front staff was awesome. The Vets and Techs are the best. Laurin and the boarding crew loved her as much as we did. The care they gave our dog was nothing less than excellent. WAH, became our extended family and Snowy was always happy to see them and always came back happy when we had to board her. In the end, they made our last moments were her the best, Even the Vet had tears in her eyes. WAH, will always hold a special place in our hearts. Thank you for being there for every need our Snowy had. We love you all!

I called Wilmington Animal Healthcare looking for a vet to get a second opinion on my senior dogs health and was told they could see him next week. They said they would contact his former vet to have his files and x-rays sent over. I showed up early to the appointment to check-in and fill out new client paperwork if needed. I was acknowledged about 45-minutes later and told that I had to contact the other vet to have records sent over to them since they could not for some reason. After 1 1/2 hours after the appointment (nearly 2 hours of waiting, also midday on a Monday), I let the desk know I had to leave. I was told, "Okay" and asked if I wanted to reschedule. They're either understaffed, overbooking the schedule, or just unempathetic towards having clients seen in a reasonable timeframe. Regardless, I'll find somewhere else that is capable of holding their staff accountable for their schedules.

I had an excellent experience bringing my two cats here - we had to rush them in due to Lilly ingestion and the staff was so communicative, caring and quick to take care of them!

Totally worth a little bit of extra money to bring your dog when it needs to be seen and somethings really wrong. I've always been treated well there.

They are very careless with how they treated my cats, most careless vet experience Ive had in 10 years. I had to wait 45 minutes for an appointment the first time. Then they kept recommending blood tests and ultrasounds when my pets were fine. And I'd have to keep calling for follow ups..last time I spent hundreds of dollars they got the results in and the vet didn't even bother to call me after i followed up twice. Until recently they were automatically apologetic and i had sympathy as i believe they are overwhelmed. However, even that has changed and they don't really seem to think customer service matters when it's actually a part of the cost. Disappointed because I brought them here after all the rave reviews.

If Beagle/Springer Spaniel were less than a 1 star rating, I would have chosen that. Took my elderly, very, sick vomiting dog in around midnight. No one else there. The vet not only wouldn't look at my sick dog but wouldn't even talk to us personally until we paid over $1,000 for tests and xrays (reminder NEVER SAW THE DOG before handing us a bill!). Receptionist said it was "standard practice" My dog had a better chance of being made comfortable in a cold wet ditch than here. They obviously can't see the animals because they have too many dollar signs in their eyes. It's not that I don't have the money if it's needed, but I don't believe any vet is so good that they don't even have to see a pet before they know what they need. I am beyond livid.

so compassionate and professional!!! i can’t say good enough things about the staff here. unfortunately, our pup lost his battle with cancer very recently. on his last day they gave him bacon and chocolate and allll the lovings and throughly explained everything to us as it was happening. i was a complete basket case through the whole process and they really were beyond kind. i really just wanted to write this review in the hopes that the women that helped us that day (it was all a blur i don’t remember their names, unfortunately) see this and know that their empathy did not go unnoticed! thank you so much, WAH.

My dogs love coming there. They don’t even care if to see the Vet or for boarding. If they weren’t being treated good then they wouldn’t get so excited. Referred you all to a neighbor who took over a dog and she can’t say enough about you! Will continue to refer you to anyone who ask!
