“This is a great shop and would highly recommend. Ladies - have no fear in taking your car here they will not over charge or complete service not needed.
I'm in town before driving cross county and needed an oil change and a few others things checked such as brakes and suspension. My car has almost 160K miles and items will need to be replaced. I called and was able to get an appointment within the next week.
Bruce called and walked me thru what he found. Nothing was urgent and would need to be replaced in the near future. While discussing the issues he also included what passes for NC inspection which is helpful in making decisions.
A quote was provided for each additional item: rear brakes, new battery, and a belt. The work was completed the same day. When I went back, we talked that they blew out the filter as it wasn't to dirty and didn't charge for tire rotation since they were checking brakes. They could have told me they changed all filters (which I know was incorrect as I checked them back in May) but they didn't. Honest shop and provided me with information on warranty as I do not live in the area.
Top notch - will be back next time I'm in the area.”

“I took my Terrain to Ken, when a sensor for my break system went bad. Unfortunately, the part was on back order. Ken went the extra mile to try to find me one as quickly as possible. He then spent extra time having it reprogrammed … and had several modules reprogrammed. for me He saved us A LOT OF $$$$ vs/ what we would have paid at the dealership.Additionally, it was time for an oil change, and he took care of that as well, for a fraction of the cost at one of the traditional corner oil change garages.We were delighted to hear , he checked out the vehicle thoroughly to ensure my husband and I the car was mechanically safe for me drive .A Honest, reliable, KNOWLEDGEABLE and reasonable PRICED mechanic. “This is really a 10 star review!! My transmission went out on me. I asked around & everybody I spoke to about it told me to call greenfield transmission. So I called spoke to Margie immediately she got right on it. She found me a transmission. She ordered it for me. I paid for the transmission upfront. She told me a date to have my car there. I got the car there on that date. 2 days later I got my car & it works great. She also had a battery & starter put in my car at no extra charge. I am one happy customer!!”
“I would like to thank Darryl Keels the owner of Econo Transmission for replacing my transmission very shortly after the warranty expired. I imagine this isn't normal practice but Darryl did what he thought was right. Actions like this arent seen often but he clearly demonstrated he has morals and ethics. “I dropped off my Nissan Xterra thinking I needed transmission work. I googled the symptoms and it said it's either a timing chain or transmission. They drove it for a day and said they really didn't think I needed transmission work. They thought it might be a timing chain or another issue and referred me to another shop to further analyze my problem. If I am ever in need of transmission work I will not hesitate to take it to them. I feel I am a good judge of character and they are about as honest as they come and a master of their trade. After talking to the owner of other shop I feel I am good hands whatever the problem turns out to be.”

“Great experience. It took awhile to get a new transmission installed, however I was told from very beginning about the time frame and actually received my car back earlier than promised. Dealing with Cottmans was very easy. They were very professional and had excellent customer service. The price of repair was comparable with other quotes I received and actually came in a little under their original quote. I was very pleased with the ecperience I had with Cottmans .”
