They charged me $13.99 for a bottle of wine that costs $4.49 at Total Wine. No prices on the bottles, so he charges you whatever he wants to. I will NEVER give them my business again. Today was the first and last time

Great spot, off the beaten path where Wrightsville Rd. spilts off to Castle St., to pick up a snack, beverages, even boiled peanuts. But this is much more than a gas station. Russell's Quik Stop was recently made semi-famous for being featured in the 2021 blockbuster movie, Halloween Kills. Just outside, in front of the station, is where you can see Anthony Michael Hall delivering his speech to the town crowd. Not sure at what time in the movie this takes place, though. Aside from it's rising fame of being a store in a movie about Michael Myers, Russell's offers an insane variety of other sundries and novelty items. Want a nicotine vape cartridge? They got it. Pack of smoky treats with a 12 pack of beer and a D8 vape pen? Yep...you can purchase that combo of products too. They even have small grocery items to spare you from having to make the trek to a larger grocery store...including snacks and ice cream. Russell's also offer their customers fresh brewed coffee and boiled peanuts up front. Also available is a dual functioning machine which includes a vacuum hose to clean out your car and an air pump. The staff...Theresa, Mo and the man who I refer to as Morgan Freeman's twin brother, give this place a hometown feel and are always eager to assist. My personal fave to get from here? That would be their 16 oz. Icehouse tall boys for just a buck each! The service is very good, the selections are abundant and the place is very clean. Each time I've stopped in, I have felt welcomed and safe. But, if you're into Horror movies, Russell's is a must visit place just to stand in the same spot as the cast did when they filmed Halloween Kills, to snap some pics. SCORE: 5 STARS!!

I just want to say, yesterday in the midst of chaos after the scare of gas shortage because of the Colonial pipeline shut down, the young lady working there handled everything like a true professional! She was a hero yesterday making sure things ran smoothly & everything was fair & everybody had their place in line, directing & even pumping gas! She deserves much respect because this was the most organization I witnessed among the panic yesterday... Also once the regular gas had run out I remember hearing a customer think that he was being up charged during an emergency situation & the gentleman inside tried to explain it was the more expensive fuel because it was the ethanol free & he was most certainly not price gouging but I'm not sure the customer understood... Thank you to the 2 people there yesterday keeping the calm amongst the storm... ??
