DON’T USE THAT PLACE. Very unprofessional. I made dozen of calls and left countless amount of messages to find out 2 years later we have to pay over thousand in penalties because they mess up my personal taxes. I was told dozens of times we do not owe anything by the receptionist ( after talking to our accountant). I finally get email from the accountant 2 years later to tell me you have to pay. I hand deliver notice 2 years ago and was told is just cross mail and I do not need to pay anything.

If you are looking for the right accountant, look no further. You've arrived! This was my first year using Cape Fear Tax and Accounting. I was impressed. Professional, knowledgeable, prompt and courteous. Joelle and her team seem to do everything right. They are growing and they are busy but they always made room for whatever questions and concerns I had. As a small business owner it was very refreshing working with them. If you planned on stopping here I would run they have been holding my $300 for two years they do not return my phone calls they do not return my emails and all they do do is lie! I have been calling them for two years with no return phone call all I keep getting is someone saying I’ll get back with you I did get a email and when I returned that email no response back they’re holding money they’re holding my taxes and at this point I’m gonna have to take this to a higher level maybe even report them to the IRS since they can’t seem to do one simple thing and that is to send me my tax information back and send me my refund they have done absolutely zero with my case and they don’t listen when you tell them that the information they’re looking for is going to be impossible to get so instead they ignore you for two years when you call them they say you’ll get a return call back but NEVER ONCE in the 2 almost three years have they returned an phone call or email! the portal or I should say fake portal that they have set up that doesn’t even show my $300 deposit or what else would be owed is rigged as well this place is a fraud

As a first time 1099 and new mother, I was nervous about filing my taxes alone. Kim went the extra mile to make sure she got me the max refund I qualified for. She is very helpful and informative. Go see her! Very nice and personable!
