This is a great shop and would highly recommend. Ladies - have no fear in taking your car here they will not over charge or complete service not needed.
I'm in town before driving cross county and needed an oil change and a few others things checked such as brakes and suspension. My car has almost 160K miles and items will need to be replaced. I called and was able to get an appointment within the next week.
Bruce called and walked me thru what he found. Nothing was urgent and would need to be replaced in the near future. While discussing the issues he also included what passes for NC inspection which is helpful in making decisions.
A quote was provided for each additional item: rear brakes, new battery, and a belt. The work was completed the same day. When I went back, we talked that they blew out the filter as it wasn't to dirty and didn't charge for tire rotation since they were checking brakes. They could have told me they changed all filters (which I know was incorrect as I checked them back in May) but they didn't. Honest shop and provided me with information on warranty as I do not live in the area.
Top notch - will be back next time I'm in the area.

Bruce and his team really care about you and your car! They try their best to do research and figure out what might be wrong with your car. Prices are pretty affordable and they have great communication skills over the phone and in person!

Awesome place!! I took my car here to get a second opinion on my breaks after the first place I took it to told me I should spend $1000 in repairs. I called Hospital Automotive and I took my car there the next day. Bruce took my car for a couple hours and called me with great news saying I did not need to replace anything. I went and picked up my car a few hours later. He didn’t charge me anything for checking out my breaks even though he did a thorough check and greased everything he could! I will definitely be going back here for the rest of the time I’m in Wilmington!!

They fixed the Steering, suspension, brakes, and A/C on my GMC Sonoma. They did a great job, charged what they estimated, and finished when they said they would. Excellent work

Great shop. Bruce helped me out when I needed it the most. I was having vehicle issues and really needed it fixed that same day in order for me to hit the road again.and Bruce was able to get me in and out the same day for a fair price. If I were to ever come back near Wilmington and I had more vehicle issues I am definitely coming back to hospital automative.

Best experience ever!!! I highly recommend Bruce and Hospital Auto! Not only did he save me an enormous amount of money by doing everything possible to diagnose my problem properly, but he also went out of his way to keep me updated on the progress so I never had questions or concerns on what direction the repairs where headed. Bruce is very professional and extremely kind. I can not express how lucky I feel to have been recommended to him! I will definitely pay it forward in the recommendation! Go see him, you will not regret it!!

Auto Hospital is the most honest and reasonable car mechanic in Wilmington. Bruce is such a nice guy and if something doesn’t need to be done right away he will tell you that and then he will tell you when it does need to be done. Hands-down the best auto mechanic in Wilmington! Lotte
