Place was really nice and across from a Texas Roadhouse and Buffalo Wild Wings. Really nice rooms and super cool people.
The parking was plentiful and overall it was just a great experience. Would highly recommend.

A clean, but extremely dated hotel. This place needs work and is obviously a cash cow for Marriott. It’s relatively clean, but some of the staff were rude, the breakfast area was extremely crowded, breakfast was below average and many things just seemed plain worn out. This is NOT a discount hotel, which makes all of the above unacceptable. Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else.
Rooms: The rooms were very dated now and it has a worn feel.
Safety: I witnessed several vagrants walk through the parking area.
Noteworthy details: Bath was very dated and needs replaced. Water temperature fluctuated considerably from hot to cold like in a third world country.

I just need to warn day time sleepers. They appear to have motion sensored AC units. So if you're asleep and not getting up to use the restroom - you'll wake up to a very hot room! Not great, cannot use this property for work.

This is our preferred Marriott to be near the UNCW campus. We have found the mattresses more comfortable and the breakfast better than the nearby Marriotts. The service is also excellent. A few improvements would raise it a star for me- refresh the bathrooms, offer complimentary water bottles for Bonvoy members, provide 2 CAFFEINATED coffee pods per room (not 1 caffeinated 1decaf!) and swap out the worst pillows (last time the pillows were sad).

Exactly what you’d hope for in a Fairfield. The front desk team went above and beyond helping get the family situation with a crib and foam pillows. They were attentive and detailed oriented. Will absolutely rebook the next time I’m in Wilmington!

Stayed for a brief overnight stay. Took a cold shower upon evening arrival. Took another cold shower in morning. I did report this to the front desk.
