I'm a very frequent shopper at this location, minutes away from home.
I was just racially discriminated against and told I look like someone else who had been stealing from the store because of my hair. We do not all look alike, and I definitely don't look like anyone else around here.

Late morning of 27th December 2023, I stopped at the Dollar General off of North College Rd. near Murrayville in Wilmington. Spanish lady was outside speaking to this older gentleman that was an employee. She was very HOSTILE to this older gentleman. I felt so bad for him. She has no business supervising anyone in such a HOSTILE manner. She continued her HOSTILITY ATTITUDE once they both reentered the store. Poor guy was so embarrassed. This is the upmost disrespect I have ever seen management toward an employee. This lady absolutely DOES NOT need to have anything to do with the public, especially in a management position. I have stopped at that Dollar General many times, and the older gentleman is the only one I ever see actually working.

On the morning of July 16th 2023 @ 7:55 I arrived early at this dolllar general the Spanish lady came out to smoke and told me I needed to leave they wer not open . I explained I would wait the 5 minutes. When I did come in I was COMPLETELY disappointed in how this lady acted . Rude as I have ever seen a employee of dollar general.or anywhere else for that matter. She was we wer the only 2 bodies in the store . She asked me to do self checkout.all I had was cat food and also needed cigarettes so I asked her to please check me out . She had a real ADDITUDE when she said if I had no ID then NO . Wich I’m completely aware of North Carolina a.t.f. Regulations as well as. North AMERICAN laws ..I told her I had my id and now their was nothing to prevent her from doing her job. She shouted at me to leave !!!!! And then called the police she said in her own nasty foul mouth . This is the upmost disrespect I have experienced this lady does absolutely not need to have anything to do with the public and if it’s the American public that bothers than go home. But having employees like this one ? Dollar general you expect American citizens to be disrespected just to spend their hard earned money at your place of BUISNESS? Loose one employee and gain many customers keep this one and see I have also been informed I can file a lawsuit for the way I was treated . I have not spoken with the rep from Better Buisness beuro yet but my lawyer said after this review. I should be totally honest with them no matter the damage this lady will cause to their BUISNESS.

This is by far the cleanest most organized dollar general I have ever visited. Also the staff are always friendly. Layla was the most sincerely nicest cashier I have ever encountered.
