I have been insured with direct auto for about 2 years. I recently had a tire that was punctured by a hook from a bungee cord after leaving a trucking companies parking lot. I was able to make it to a fast food establishment where I promptly called my insurance provider for roadside assistance with my suv. I couldn’t request assistance via their app so I had to call them, after going through what felt like million unnecessary questions from the representative I spoke with, he said he would dispatch one of the places they work with to come help with changing the tire. I waited for 2 hours while playing phone tag with this representative stating he was unable to locate a tow company to come change the damaged tire. He said they didn’t have the people available at that time to dispatch assistance to my location. It was extremely frustrating and I really felt helpless. I would’ve changed the tire myself but my car was missing the proper equipment as I recently purchased this vehicle and was unaware it didn’t have the tools it should have for this situation. I finally had a friend come assist me after much ado. I pay my insurance annually so I was very disappointed that this is how they treat their loyal customers. I am planning on getting coverage with another company that has a reliable app to use for roadside assistance and that has customer service reps that don’t leave you to figure it out when you pay for this service for those situations where you truly need roadside assistance. I would highly recommend going with anyone but direct auto for insurance. You will regret your decision if you choose them and find yourself in a situation where you need help and they just don’t send anyone as well as waste your time going around and around with their reps aimlessly.

Bill was very knowledgeable and thorough. Quick on his feet , and you could tell that he is a seasoned professional in his field. What a wonderful man . As for Direct itself, thankyou for being quite literally the most painless , hassel free agency to work with. The entire process was smooth , down to electronic signatures....no need to even leave your house. I'll tell anyone with two ears about Direct from now on .
