Karen is extremely knowledgeable and passionate about her work. She provides useful information throughout the year and in a timely manner, to educate (or warn), of the implications of lack of compliance regarding filing.

I started my first small business at the beginning of this year and as the year reaches it’s end found myself with a great deal of stress and worry about the upcoming tax season in regards to what to claim and how to file. I reached out stating I have many questions and a complex situation and would love some help and advice. The woman that returned my call was making jokes about how to pronounce my name without even trying to attempt it, which seemed a bit unprofessional to me but ok, it’s a complicated name for you I’ll let it pass. But rather than providing any actual advice or answers I was directed back to the IRS website to review things I’d already reviewed and was already confused by. I was hoping more for an opportunity to schedule a meeting and sit down and discuss the complexities of my situation at some point but rather felt I was given a brush off. I ended the call feeling even more discouraged than before I reached out. I ended up cutting the call short after a very awkward and almost condescending conversation and ended up continuing my search for help because clearly I wasn’t going to be offered any here. Very discouraging for a first year business looking to protect themselves

Ms. Karen Durda and Century Accounting and Tax Services have been doing our taxes for more than 8 years. Ms. Durda and the staff are very pleasant to work with. We never had any issues on our taxes and our taxes are done promptly. Ms. Durda is very open to answer questions anytime we had questions. We can contact her anytime by phone or e-mail. Karen is my go to for ANYTHING and EVERYTHING relating to accounting and tax stuff. She is warm, funny, and helps you to understand really complex stuff in simple terms. From the passing of both of my parents and dealing with the filing process, to starting a family and learning how to budget, Karen has been foundation through all of it. Very rude, every time I have called I have called once for service and once on accident and the lady is so grumpy and rude I wouldn’t buy a lemonade from her much less trust her with any money. Maybe that makes for a good number cruncher but I’d rather jus not invite someone that miserable in my life ?
