Enjoyed the curated tour. Lots of neat info presented. The rooms don't have a lot in them, just enough to give you an idea about them. The tour guide was very friendly and walked us through each room. Had a great story-telling voice! The gardens were alright, but I'm honestly not a gardens person. They have a self guided tour and a printed out guide where you can see all the plants that would've been planted in those times. We enjoyed it.

I drove 30 minutes arrived during business hours, Google posts that it is open, Website posts that it is open, Locks were on the gate. No one answered the phone. I recommend calling prior Although there is no one that answers the phone and no indication that it was closed even on the automated message.

We had the our intimate wedding dinner in the Burgwin-Wright House Gardens. Hunter, the assistant museum director, was very kind, responsive, and easy to work with. If your looking for a beautiful event space in Downtown Wilmington, this is it!

The tour guide John was very informative regarding colonial life and culture. He offered many details about the establishment of Wilmington and the jailer's job and how people were punished for their crimes. The furnishings and tools were authentic to the time period. Questions were answered in detail. In consideration of previous house tours we have taken in other parts of the country, I would rate this tour as a five star.

The tour guide was very good, but in all honesty, there weren't a lot of artifacts and not too many rooms to tour. The senior discount came to $26 for two people.

My husband and I really enjoyed touring this home. The property had a unique history, with the home being built on the foundation of an old jail. The home and the grounds were in good condition, considering the age of the property.John, our guide did a great job of sharing a lot of information. He did it in a way that kept your interest throughout the tour. Although, we enjoyed the time we spent outdoors, we are looking froward to revisiting the home in the spring. We are excited to see the gardens in bloom.I highly recommend this historical home tour In Wilmington, NC . If you happen to get John as a tour guide, you will not be disappointed.

I had an amazing time at the Bergwin-Wright house and especially their garden. Our tour guide was named Winston and he eloquently explained the history of every room in the house relating it to both the Bergwin and Wright families and to the history of the town itself. He also had an answer for every question my mom and I had. He was awesome. Afterwards, there is a self-guided garden tour with a pamphlet that tells of the history and names every plant. It’s not an exhilarating stop, but if you like history, this is a great stop to get a snapshot of life from at least three different eras of Wilmington. And there’s a gift shop!
