We've been going here awhile. Great selection of top quality as well as some hard to get meats you wont find anywhere else around town. John and his wife are the owners and pretty much run both locations themselves. They are very knowledgeable and personable. And the pricing is good. And John, you gotta close the doors for a week or two and take a vacation. You and your wife deserve it as hard as y'all work to provide quality products at a great price.

I’ve been to all the butcher shops in the area and this is by far the Best and most knowledgeable one. Only shop around with more than 5 types of cuts will definitely go back regularly

I'm so glad I found this place! After visiting Yellowstone Natl/Montana, we were introduced to Elk meat. Never thought I would find Elk meat in Wilmington! I wanted to make my wife a special dinner for Valentines Day, and America's Choice Gourmet came thru!! They had Elk meat!!Dinner was amazing!! Elk steak, asparagus with hollandaise sauce, and potatoes. My wife was super happy. Thank you America's Choice! We will DEFINITELY be returning

The following items are my favorites: The 5lbs Fire River Farms 81/19 Choice Ground Beef Log has become a staple in my kitchen. The 81/19 lean-to-fat ratio strikes a perfect balance, delivering a rich, beefy flavor and juiciness that enhances any dish. The fine grind is especially ideal for textured recipes like meatballs, meatloaf, and burgers. The moderate shrink when cooked ensures a satisfying dining experience every time. The 5lbs Butcher Block's Ground Pork Log is another staple in my kitchen. Its versatility knows no bounds, and I've enjoyed experimenting with it in various dishes, from Pork Stir-fry meatballs and tacos to Sloppy Joes, chili, taco salads, breakfast burritos, and breakfast sandwiches. Steak lovers, this is it. I eat 1-2 steaks per week. I made the switch from Publix to Choice Gourmet and I do not regret it. I bought a little over $500 of premium meats ranging from A5 JapaWagyu to 30 day dry aged Ribeyes and the difference is REAL.

I got to speak to the owner John on the phone today about a question I needed clarification on, and he was very knowledgeable about the meats, cuts and where he sources his products from, as well as just being a pleasure to talk to. It’s great to see a small business expanding, and their products are absolutely quality.

Hands down the best place to get quality meats in Wilmington! I really like that they carry Lamb leg! The folks that own the place are knowledgeable and professional. They also stock seasonings and a lot of other products. Definitely worth stopping in.

Use to travel up North town to get my stuff. Glad you have a store on south end now. Best place to get quality and service. I recently got some bison ribs. Fantastic!! Got to get more Picanha soon. Love all the options. Made a mistake to stop by the Teeter and get a steak in a rush. Yuuukkk! Still chewing it a week later.Cynthia is great and Pablo greets me at the door.

Made the Dino beef ribs last Christmas, phenomenal! And their Ibérico pork is simply the best. Very knowledgeable owners have always steered me in the right direction. Can wait to see them again. Might even go tomorrow…

Stopped in today and grabbed some antelope burgers as well as some duck prosciutto. Both of which I'm excited to use in the near future. I almost grabbed a piece of their wagyu flat iron steak; $30 is a great price for any type of wagyu. I'll definitely have to grab some next time. Great to see you in the new location and vest of luck.

This place is so awesome, in order to make the good stuff you got to buy the good stuff and that’s what this place has to offer. Every piece of meat I buy from this place is the best piece of meat I’ve ever had and that is no exaggeration. If you want to cook like a real pit master this is your first stop.
