I was charged $331 for a radiator that sells for $239 elsewhere and everywhere. I asked where it came from, the answer was, "I don't know", then I asked again, what store did it come from? The answer was, they keep it in stock. Yeah, right! God doesn't like thieves and neither do I. If you are going to bring your vehicle to this establishment, buy and bring the parts so you don't get ripped off $100 like I was.
Update: Fri/Sept/2024
Well, down to one star because my vehicle is still loosing coolant so I never needed another radiator like you folks said and installed. Definitely don't know what they are doing. I recommend Rob's Auto or Jimmy Cousel Auto. Honesty so far with them.

One star is very generous, if I could leave a negative star this place would definitely get it from us. My wife’s car was taken there because it wouldn’t start when colony tire replaced her ac compressor. Cowan’s said it was a computer issue. The work took forever, like a month or more to complete. When we picked up the vehicle, her headlights no longer worked and her driver window no longer went down. It was a computer issue and they completely replaced her computer so tell me why the radio presets never reset? I have asked several different mechanics and they all say if you take the computer out and replace it the presets would not be there any more. Heck even I know if I take my battery cables off my presets change so why didn’t they when they changed the computer?

Well, I broke my truck pulling a trailer about 10 miles east of Williamston. I have an old truck and replaced the big trailer pulling engine with a smaller rebuilt one when the big one failed. It struggled with the load and then the old radiator overheated. The rig limped into this poor man’s’ business front yard yesterday late afternoon spewing brown radiator fluid all over.
Mr. Alton calmly took control of my chaos. We cooled down my baby and kept the damage confined to the ancient radiator. We agreed to put in a new radiator the next morning call it a day.
Well the next morning we got stuck by a new radiator that had a hole in it. I already had one of those, so we ordered a replacement.
In the meantime I was blessed to spend the day with Alton and his awesome crew. I watched while they worked hard to help people fix their cars. They are true professionals, and so friendly.
We got the part later and Alton took care ti get me on the road again. The radiator turned out to be I ticking time bomb, but also I had asked too much of my old truck. With kind advice, I turned the whole rig around and returned to the Outer Banks. I will give the old truck the break it deserves and find another way to haul my trailer.
I honestly have never experienced better service and care from an auto mechanic shop. I have dealt with a lot because I have always had old cars. There is no place like this on the Outer Banks. You folks in Williamston have a great shop. Take you car there.

This gentleman has AAA+ service. We have had our vehicles worked on several times there. He is a super honest person. It is a pleasure to post this referral. We will never hesitate to take all of our vehicles to him when needed.
