The kitchen was understaffed the night that we went and that really exacerbated the time between ordering our entrées and appetizers and actually having them delivered. I didn't try the fried green tomatoes but our table said they were some of the best that they've had outside of the deep South. The wait staff was incredibly friendly, go here if you're looking for a wide selection of entrées at a reasonable price

Worst dining experience. It was really hot right when we entered. We ordered pulled pork nachos as an appetizer and they brought it out at the exact time as our meal. I told the waitress that we had wanted them to come before the meal and she apologized. The nachos were burnt...yes burnt. I had the beef brisket with sweet potato fries both of which were burnt and the brisket was dry as a bone. I had to slather it in BBQ sauce just to get it down. I went to get a drink of water and there was a huge carpenter ant in my glass. I called the waitress over and showed her and she just said, "I'll get you another water." She also forgot my salad, so I told her that this had been a horrible dining experience and that she should speak to the cooks as everything was burnt. She said they were really rushed in the back. I said that's not an excuse for sending out food that's not prepared correctly. The couple next to us also got their appetizer at the same time as their meals and made a comment to the waitress as well and she said, "I don't know why they keep doing that.". I will never be back. It seemed like most everyone was locals as they all knew each other.

I went there today and it took the waiter 10 minutes to come to my table. Another waiter took my order and took another 30 minutes to bring my food yet it was the wrong order. The waiter, Amanda was rude. When I told them my order was wrong, they were mean and one of the waitresses sneered at me. The waitresses are not the usual young girls. These ones were older women so I expected professionalism in vain. I have been going to Bogarts for the last 3 years but every year it seems to deteriorate. They need to work on their customer care skills . It's just that Ryan's closed and Cherokee is abit far that one has to go to Bogarts. Last week I had a great waitress though. A young girl. Today they didn't even check on my table. Huh! I only tip depending on the services I receive. So, this one is not getting any coin from me. The food presentation was also horrible. Let's see how long this will last coz clearly the future is so near!

This place is great! service is super fast- which is especially important for 2 hungry roadtrippers. Food was on point. The meat on the ribs just fell off, steak was cooked to perfection, their soup warmed my soul. But dont leave without trying their fried oreos!!

You would not eat here if you saw the kitchen. There is old grease everywhere. The fryer and the grill are caked with nasty looking grease too. The floors are dirty. It's truly disgusting.

I was very satisfied with this restaurant. The service was good and the food was great. Only complaint was the restrooms could've use a good clean.

One word. Awesome. We ordered the seafood and steak. The entrées were great, and the sides were great. Definitely try the fried Oreos!

Great family friendly restaurant, right on Main Street just outside of downtown Sylva. The seafood platters that my wife and I ordered both had a hearty portion of fried deliciousness, while the ribs my daughter had were tangy and tender. Definitely will come back when we return to WCU next year!

I was passing through Sylva, and wanted to go somewhere family style for lunch. We went to Bogart's and the service was poor, the waitress we had was the only good part about the whole thing. It was around 2 in the afternoon when I went to Bogart's and I was kinda feeling steak so I ordered one. Needless to say we sat waiting on our food for over an hour with nearly no one in the dining room. The waitress came back and apologized to us multiple times, but having restaurant experience myself I know there is only so much she can do. I finally got tired of waiting and told her no offense to her but when they get the food ready just put it in a to-go box because we were tired of waiting. After an hour of waiting on the Food to arrive and then taking it home with only a 15 minute ride to my house I ended up with horrendous looking meal. Completely disappointed.

Gross! This resturant gets orders wrong. I went and ordered a fried chicken sandwich with nothing on it. Simple right? Not for bogarts, they got my whole order wrong, when my new order came it tasted like something from McDonalds. If you want Bogarts, go to the waynsiville one, so much better.

Nice place great steak and the grilled vegetables are great. Nice atmosphere but it is a little pricey for Waynesville but I'll go again.

If you are seeking a steakhouse or anything of the type keep moving this is more of the hokey country style restaurant more like Cracker Barrel minus the store add a couple of steaks that are so cheap I'd question what or where it came from. Full disclosure we did not eat here, we left before drinks were ordered. The party was 5 adults at shortly before 5pm the place is large with ample seating and maybe only 2 other tables seated if that. The hostess sat us at a booth for 4 an pulled a chair up to the edge. We asked to be seated at a table and she just pointed to a banquette/table-booth and walked off. We had to gather the menus and rolled silverware from the booth she initially wanted to seat us at and move to the banquette which was not any better because it was still a 4 top table. If being seated was such an inconvenience I couldn't have imagined the food and service so we returned our menus and left for a more welcoming vibe with a less hokey environment.

Very confusing. A great meal 5 star one day and very poor meal 2star the next. Had catfish on Wednesday. Fresh moist and delicious. Went back the next day to do it again. Told they only serve it on Wed. Ordered flounder at server suggestion. Dry over cooked and barely editable. Why would a Head Chef or owner only serve their best seafood once a week and disappoint their patrons with freeze thaw the rest of the week? NO consistency just leads to confusion and loss of customers. Advice "Drop the freeze thaw operation and choose to make great meals". This will go a long way to getting you the 5 stars Waynesville Bogarts has earned
