We had a great stay at Smoky Mountain Country Club. Our 2-bedroom condo had everything we needed for a wonderful 4-night trip to the Smoky Mountains and area. Everything was close - we ate and grabbed groceries about 10 minutes down the road in Bryson City. The national park and surrounding hikes aren't far. We loved the pool and hot tub, which were still open and heated well into October. Check-in and check-out were easy - everything was in an envelope outside of the sales building. We ended up extending our stay, which was also easy to do. Pricing and fees were reasonable and transparent. I'm already looking forward to coming back and enjoying more quiet mornings on the deck looking over the valley.

Everything good except the greens, they were punched a week or so ago and were rough.

Our group has been taking golf trips for quite some time and this is far and away the best lodging accommodations that we have ever had. Fully equipped very comfortable.
Rooms: Plenty of room for a group of five and enough bathrooms to go around.

What an amazing property. The condo was very well furnished with everything you could need and more. It was definitely a home away from home. We already scheduled our next trip.
The staff and restaurant employs couldn't be more helpful and friendly.

This was a highlight of a ten day golfing trip with my husband. The facility was extremely comfortable - it felt like home from it's back deck, the roomy bedrooms/baths, to it's spacious living room and it's well equipped kitchen,. The staff at check in and the golf course went out of their way to engage us and make us feel at home. I almost don't want to tell anyone about it because the Stay and Play package was GREAT and we want to do it again.
Rooms: Spacious and comfortable.
Food and drinks: The food at the golf course was nice for lunch. The hours don't provide for evening fare.

Our condo was very much up to date, clean and well maintained. Having a garage was an added bonus.
Rooms: Our condo was very well maintained, decorated and had plenty of space for even more than the 4 adults in our party. The outdoor deck had plenty of seating that appeared to be brand new. The kitchen was well stocked with table ware as well as cooking supplies. We would definitely go back again.
Nearby activities: Having a golf course on the property was great and this also had a small restaurant/bar to get something to eat and drink after our round. The staff there were very friendly and attentive. There was also a pool/hot tub that we took advantage of that was well maintained. We did not take advantage of the tennis courts but looked to be in good shape.

I don't golf but my friend(doesn't want me to mention) does. He told me, the Smoky Mountain Country Club and Golf Course would make for a beautiful walk. So off we went. During our walk we came upon a conclusion about the patrons of your establishment. inconsiderate.... Yes, that was the PG-13 term we decided on. Anyway, the patrons we're very inconsiderate to the Club and the folk who have jobs there. I saw beer cans just tossed into the bushes for someone else to find. Saw patrons throwing trash on the ground for someone else to pick up. Many trashed carts and equipment. And not just 1 person, several. If any of those people are reading this; shame, shame! That club is working hard to give you a beautiful place to be a part of, so maybe you (you know who you are) could you be just a little more considerate and a lot more clean. Stop messing up the things around you! Please!! By the way, hole 5... Wow!! Thanks Smokey Mountain Country Club, we had an awesome day!!
Walkability: Beautiful scenery! Hole 5 is amazing!
Food and drinks: So very tasty. Chicken sandwich was juicy and so big. Nice folks
Noteworthy details: The gentleman that clean the course and carts should get a raise, and everyone should tip accordingly! Just my opinion...

We played here on 8/02/24 while on vacation. 8:50am tee time. The staff in the clubhouse was great - very helpful in directions and even met us outside on our way back from the range to give a quick course overview before heading out to the first tee.
The course itself was in pretty good condition. Fairways are fast, greens are hard and fast (despite the rain all week). I could see where if completely dry, they'd be REALLY tough. As per other posts, tee boxes were in decent condition - only 1 or 2 had newly laid sod, but none were horrible. I thought the course payed fair. However, being from Florida, the higher altitude will make you feel like Bryson on some of these holes! That, coupled with the massive drop-offs on some of these holes, made for some good times - and good laughs!
It was everything I wanted it to be in a "mountain" course. Elevation changes throughout - with one of the BEST par 5 holes I've ever played: 3 wood off the box to a landing area, then your second shot is over a cliff to the green, totally reachable in two. Amazing. There is also a 223 yard par 3 that drops off into the abyss - and my 7 iron got me there. So cool for someone who doesn't get to play courses like this very often!
All in all - good experience. No, it's not a perfect course, but damn it sure was fun! Bring extra balls. My first ball lasted 6 holes - and I think I lost at least another 6 after that...lol.
