Gone are the days when most drug stores had a diner IN them, so I always ask if we can go to the drug store for lunch when I’m home visiting my parents. It can get BUSY, but service is quick and food is grilled and good. Personally love the hot dog and any of the fries-versions best. A cool, different experience if you’re from out of town or local alike!

We saw reviews on Louise’s Sweet T so decide to try it for lunch. It is like being in an old soda fountain in a drug store with most seating at the counter and just a few booths. My BLT was perfect for me. Sadly my husband’s hot dogs were mediocre. I tasted it and it was not tasty at all. We’d probably be better to do their milk shake. Still a unique eatery with good prices.

Sweet Louises Cafe is a hidden gem in this small town drug store. It's like you're thrown back in time. Good shakes, great lunch - I really enjoy the cheesesteaks!

We stumbled upon Louise's Sweet 'T' Café inside People's Drug Store the second week of our month long vacation in Jefferson, NC. What a find! They always say, "go where the locals go" and they are right. There are only three tables and a bar that seats about a dozen people, but it's an experience you don't want to miss. The owner was present each time we went, and the waitresses were friendly and helpful. You were greeted as an old friend. Even the local patrons made us feel welcome with waves and smiles as if we had known them for years. The food was plentiful and very good. We tried both breakfast and lunch with equal satisfaction. There are daily specials and ample coffee. The prices are fair and the place was clean for such an old establishment. We highly recommend. It will be our first stop upon our return in the summer!

Great diner in a drug store. I had the potatoes soup and grilled cheese with a vanilla milkshake. My friends as the Husky Burger and French fries. Both were delicious and the service was great!! Don’t miss this stop while In W Jefferson.

I just had the best grilled chicken salad. This quaint 50ish diner inside a pharmacy has all the feels. Great customer service, good food and a mountain community vibe. I will definitely be back.

Camping at New River State Park and came here for lunch. Food was excellent, service great and the good ol' days feeling. Had a burger and fries (in a basket). Some of the best food I've had in awhile. Highly recommend if you're in the area.

best place for breakfast ever... The other food looks good but we have only tried the breakfast. We had rented a cabin for a week and googled best breakfast. And you would not believe how inexpensive it is!

Absolutely love this local and well-hidden (inside People's Drug Store) spot! Breakfast is excellent, and the service is great! Today enjoyed French toast and my husband liked his hearty omelette, but we need to return for those tantalizing biscuits... Thank you Amber, Bradley, and Allyson for your hospitality and great service. We'll be back!

Our go-to place for breakfast and lunch when we are in West Jefferson! We purchased a home near Glendale Springs 4 years ago and a local told us about Louise's. It is truly an old style drug store lunch counter. The owners, Brad and his wife are super people! The food is good (real home made burgers) and the prices are very reasonable.
