Well folks, I uh...am surprisingly starting this entry in my carwash review series out on a surprisingly somber note.It is honestly somewhat PAINFUL to give this place two stars, as I was REALLY hoping, seeing as how I've driven by this place for YEARS and never once went to it, that this would be a pretty impressive job done here.I'm not so sure, but three stars doesn't mean it's terrible, and I'd still say that this is better than the very first one I went to.But anyway, here's the ninth carwash review!Pinehurst Razor...I felt pretty optimistic about this one, for reasons I otherwise can't explain, and I had rather high hopes for this one; figuring it could earn at least four stars.I first approached this place two days ago and noted that they had not one, but TWO different stalls/rooms to use, so there's a benefit right there. There is also a vacuuming area, but I didn't utilize that.Having gone SEVEN weeks since last contributing to this quest of mine, I set out to this establishment one fine Thursday morning, and I opted to choose the machine on the right. I examined the signage in front of the building and got the information on what came with each tier of washing. Furthermore, the boxes where you pay and select your service are exactly like the ones I've seen at the Exxon trio. You can select from four different styles of service: Express, Deluxe, Supreme, and if you choose the one on the right, Ultimate Rain-X. Bizarrely, the one on the LEFT calls its highest level one Works.Anyway, I paid my $10 for the Ultimate Rain-X and entered the stall, ready for the fun show to begin!Once again, this machine doesn't have any kind of big, floppy spaghetti noodle sort of brushing equipment, as it is just one large apparatus that sprays half your car at a time. Is this kind of setup the carwash of the future?Unlike last time, all of the lights lit up on the sign that names the different cycles of your service. I could still see them pretty legibly from inside my car, even with all the soaps and colorful foams sprayed onto my vehicle. After my car was blow dried, I drove off. Unfortunately, the next time I took a good look at my car in the daylight, I saw what appeared to be DOZENS of what looked like thumbprints on both my car's roof and trunk, and the areas of my windshield that my wiper's can't reach were dirty again in a matter of HOURS; and keeping those areas clean can drive me CRAZY.That said, I would've gone back and tried the stall on the left eventually anyway, but I had a hunch that it performed differently, so the next day after work, I came back here and paid my $10 to get the Works package. I should also note that there was a trash can/rain barrel blocking the entrance to the one on the right.Man, what IS IT with carwashes around here and their machinery breaking down?I was only kidding when I theorized the one on the left may have been better, but now I think I was pretty spot-on....I paid my $10, drove inside as instructed, and instantly noticed how much more powerful this one was, as the soap and stuff was thick to the point where I couldn't see the sign that listed the different steps.Watching the wash unfold was no less fun, and when I looked at my car again, the fingerprint-esque spots were gone! :)Unfortunately, the left stall didn't keep those windshield areas clean and clear for even a whole MINUTE, and the overall glass looks no better. With that said, given how it doesn't seem to clean your windshield right, and given how one of them has broken down, and given how one of them might have even left spots on my car, that is the reason for my two star rating. In short, you can come here to get your CAR cleaned, but don't expect your WINDSHIELD to get any cleaner.Nine down and five to go!We've approached the final five folks, and next time, I'll be going much farther out and about to explore the remaining carwashes!I'll give you a hint as to where I'm going next: It's a place where I MUST was
