We don’t shop at Public due to the prices, but we’ll get their subs. We ordered online tonight at 5:11. The order said it would be ready at 5:40. I know they usually never have them out at the actual time, so I got their 5 minutes after the time. And I wait and wait. At around 5:55 they bring me a sub, and I had to let them know we had two subs. One hadn’t even been made yet. So I stood there even longer while holding one sub to wait to the other. I think this was the last time for us. Sadly it doesn’t seem like the deli will ever get it together.
Update: We decided to give it one last try. My husband ordered us subs, he ordered a cheesesteak sub. We get home and his sub is just ham. He doesn’t eat ham, and either way ham is cheaper than a cheesesteak. We take a photo of the ham sub next to the receipt and lodge a complaint. We were not able to get any sort of refund unless my husband went BACK to the store to personally talk to a manager. This is the worst deli I have ever experienced in my entire life. Absolutely ridiculous.

We stopped to see if the deli sandwich reviews are accurate. They are! Try the Cordon Bleu and the red potato salad. The house brand sweet tea was just right, flavorful and not syrupy, and priced right. Now I understand why they have tables set up so that you can enjoy your food.

Employees are always friendly and helpful. You don't have to search for employees to help you. Jake was super polite and helpful when I asked for a special request. Bathrooms are ALWAYS clean when I go in. Cakes are amazing!

ETA: I have to come back to edit my review because the night manager is such a breath of fresh air compared to all the other restaurant managers in Weaverville and woodfin. He is absolutely very good with the way he works with his staff and then also, makes sure every shopper is taken care of. And he's pretty easy to look at too! ? Thank you for the breath of fresh air. It truly does trickle from the top, as I see it in each of the employees when he is there. People aren't afraid to goof off a little, making the whole thing even more pleasurable. It's nice seeing people be happy. Work isn't meant to be this place we all abhor. He has done good work making sure that isn't the case.
I love publix. Always great meat and fresh fruit. There are lots of bogo deals, too.
