I started with a new doctor at this practice. I've been with my previous doctor for 30 years, but he retired. Dr. Emery turned out to be a breath of fresh air. She is thorough and listens. I Had an idea of something I might be lacking. She didn't think so, but was very willing to have it checked out. I'm so glad I made the choice to see her!!!

I’ve been a patient at this practice since 2017 and have always been happy with my care, both preventative and sick care. Office seems to run smoothly, very responsive to messages on the patient portal, etc. Dr. Anewalt is wonderful and very caring.

Honestly the best doctor I’ve had in years. I’ve had a couple times where I needed to see Dr. Anewalt immediately and the front desk makes sure it happens. She listens to me and does not rush me. We’ve discussed medications and when I say something doesn’t work then we talk and try something else until it does work. I hate having to even go to the doctors when I’m sick or need other things but how she treats me is exactly why I feel comfortable enough to come to here no matter how I may feel. Will continue to go here as long as I live in Weaverville.

I’ve been going here since I became an adult. Dr. Moore is a wonderful doctor and the staff has always been very kind and helpful. I never have an issue with communication via phone or patient portal.Sometimes the waits are a little long, but that isn’t always something they can control.

Dr. Graeme has been my PCP since I moved to Weaverville. She is a personable and understanding provider who really listens and wants the best for her patients.

I have used this practice for several years and have been very pleased. I see Dr Christian and he takes time to answer my questions and does the appropriate referrals - follow ups etc.. I am very pleased with everyone I have encountered in this office including the front desk, physician assistants, lab and doctor.

I have went to this practice since I was a child and I have always loved going here. I seen Jennifer Hall and she always listened, was kind and truly cared for you as a person. She left the practice which I was very sad to hear but I’m sure she had reasoning this practice has went way down hill. All the nurses used to be sweet and caring now they could care less honestly. It’s sad to see as someone who is a medical professional watch a Practice decline so rapidly.

I can say with all honesty that I would recommend this office to my family and friends. I switched to them from a provider in Asheville that was pretty horrible. I didn't have much hope going into this office simply because of several bad experiences at different local clinics in the past. I assumed that bad customer service and medical care was the norm post-pandemic. I was pleasantly surprised to discover that I was incorrect. They are easy to get ahold of, respond promptly to messages and take the time to explain things in laymen's terms. Dr. Moore is great!

I was denied care when trying to make a new patient appointment with this office because I take a certain medication prescribed by another physician. I didn’t need or want them to prescribe this medicine, I just wanted a PCP for when I get sick. They said that it didn’t matter, none of the physicians would see me. There is another review from someone who had the same experience. I’ve never been denied care because I take medication for my mental health and I’m completely stumped.

They do the bare minimum to keep you coming back. Takes days to get a medicine refill. I can't wait to change doctors.

This place deserves NO stars. Denying new patients not because they are full but because they are prescribed certain medications. I would not send anyone here! Being a professional myself working in substance use and mental health field this behavior is absolutely shocking to me and inappropriate. North Buncombe Family Medicine should be ashamed and I would encourage anyone who is discriminated against through them to reach out to local lawyers or Pisgah Legal Services for assistance in stopping this from occurring in our community.

North Buncombe Family Medicine discriminates against members of our community who have history of substance abuse. They refuse treatment to anyone who receives medication assistance treatment. To be clear there is absolutely no medical justification for this and solely their practice carrying on a social stigma.

Dr. Anewalt is sweet and a good doctor, but I’m done. No matter how early we get here for an appointment we’re always left waiting at least 15 minutes after the scheduled appointment time. I can understand when it’s a full room. No one was in the parking lot or the waiting room this time as ours was the 1st appointment after lunch. I’m so tired of waiting like this for no reason or explanation. Gonna look elsewhere for my entire family of 4.

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Takes days to return calls for something as simple as a prescription refill. Incredibly unhelpful staff. Resigned to letting patients suffer because of ineptitude. Have never written a review in my life but this office deserves every bit of it. Looking forward to truly be TAKEN CARE OF by another office.
