I have been going to Weaverville ingles for over 30 years. I like it now but use to love it when Steve Crawford managed it. Since he retired a lot has gone downhill. I buy organic and I specifically want organic. They try to put regular product in organic slots. Of course I know organic codes so I can double check. It frustrating. The product section is the worst. The meat section is bad to. Most of the time if you want meat cut they say their slicer is broke. The guy that was working the dairy was great. He asked if I needed help and even went in the back to look for an item for me. That's customer service. The precut meat and seafood section is also great. They know their stuff. They are very helpful. The manager of the whole store now is not much help. He speaks and helps you find something but the problem is he tells you he will order it and you never see it. If he couldn't get it for some reason he should let people know like Steve Crawford did. Me Crawford come out of retirement and manage ingles in weaverville again because I don't think they will find someone that measures up to your management skills.

All the women who work at Ingles Pharmacy in Weaverville are kind and personable. They always inform me of any possible precautions regarding my medication(s). This pharmacy is not the closest to me in distance, but I will continue to use this pharmacy because of their terrific, personalized service.

I stopped to buy cold brew coffee at the Starbucks at Ingles supermarket in Weaverville North Carolina.I have a grandchild who we give the unadulterated cold brew to try reduce the symptoms of her ADD. I was told that I could not buy cold brew coffee without water or ice that it was against the North Carolina Liquor laws by Tracy Ponder. When I questioned Miss ponder closer she said it wasn't the liquor laws . I question Miss Ponder closer she said it wasn't the liquor loss it was a product liability issue. on question further she stated that it was so much caffeine that you couldn't buy cold brew without water or ice because it to get into much caffeine. That all this caffeine would be detrimental to your health.Explain to Miss ponder that I frequently bought cold brew from other Starbucks with no ice no water. My question was since the other Starbucks in the area I have been selling me cold brew without ice and water has my health been impacted?. My question was since the other Starbucks in the area I have been selling a cold brew without water or ice they may have impacted my healt. She states this is a proper product liability question. Once questionEd about the exact amount of caffeine the cold brew coffee had she was not able to answer any of those questions. If this is a product liability question one would seem that Starbucks would do some kind of posting to prevent a class action suit.. Is this just an issue where Miss ponder at Weaverville Starbucks just needs additional education?

Go to the Ingles store in Weaverville and then go to the Publix in Weaverville.Look at the store from in and outside, check out the parking lots.Look at checkout lines at both.Check out the Logo/sign of both. What store do you think has a better feel? They both have approx. the same prices, and sales. Then try the bakery items at Ingles and then at Publix. Then try the premade salads, Southern Style Potato, Macaroni etc. at Ingles then Publix.Did above and shop at the one I prefer.

The lady giving out flu shots on 10/30 was extremely rude, condescending and nasty. I haven't been treated that bad in a very long time. It was a terrible guest experience. I will drive further to ANY other pharmacy and will tell everybody I meet to do the same.

April 2021 by Majo John M.
Yesterday I had a completely charmed visit to the Ingles store in Weaverville. For two months last year, April and May, I lived out in the mountains near this store. I was, at that time, extremely impressed with the store. The young high school cashiers struck me as being quite different from the typical checked-out Asheville high school kids behind the cash registers. They were fun, engaged, and interesting. I discovered the secret of that high level of morale was a particular woman front-end manager. I used to teach customer service in the Earth Fare store in Asheville, where I was a cashier myself. I said to her one evening, "These kids are actually having fun at work. What's your secret?" She told me that her driving focus was to "take the pressure off them". As a result, they genuinely had a good time at work - and were great to deal with. She really believed that her job as their manager was to make their work easier and more effective, not just to "manage" them. Yesterday, Jessica Chandler - one of the store managers - helped me with a problem I was having with my iPhone. I told her I needed to connected to Wi-Fi and to power in order to download my data. This went beyond your typical level of customer service, but she was happy to do it. Ingles stores tend to be clean and bright, with wide aisles and a great variety of products. I have been an Ingles Advantage Card frequent shopper for over 16 years. In that time, I have bought many thousands of dollars of merchandise from the various stores in Asheville - and now, in the last year, all over the western North Carolina "high mountains" north of Asheville. In that time, I have discovered that the further you get from the Asheville corporate office, the better the managers tend to be: more friendly, engaged and hands-on - less impressed with their own white shirts. As I was leaving yesterday, Jessica was bagging groceries - a big difference from many of the city managers who never engage with staff or customers and seldom leave their ivory tower up at the customer service desk. Congratulations to Steve Crawford and his team in the Weaverville store for a really well-run, high morale, customer-service-oriented grocery store!

I always shop at Ingles because they carry the brands and products I like. However, their employees mask wearing leaves a lot to be desired. Several of them wear the mask below their noses. Further, customers must be told to keep their masks on the whole time they are in the store AND to cover their noses. Legitimate doctors have repeatedly said there are no medical reasons to prevent proper mask wearing.

When Publix opened in Weaverville, I started shopping exclusively there. They are everything that Ingles isn't: customer service is outstanding! The store is CLEAN! Employees are friendly, courteous, and helpful. The seafood department is spectacular, the manager of that department is extremely knowledgeable, can give cooking suggestions for any of the seafood, and will bring in whatever you want. In my years of shopping at Ingles, I was never once asked if I found everything I'd been looking for.I was even told by a couple of their employees that it was not a good place to work.

I was shopping in Ingles for about 25 minutes and was shocked to see around 10 people not wearing a mask. I figured this could be the case when upon entering the store, there was no one around. Upon leaving, I mentioned it to a manager at the front desk and got a "thank you for letting us know" as a lady passed by with her cart without a mask ... no response. Good bye Ingles ... your competition is requiring masks (Publix, Wal-Mart, Aldi). BAD for business ... I'm not shopping there anymore.

I've been shopping here on and off for over 6 years and generally am ok with the store. I'm not ok with what I saw today- a large % of customers were not wearing masks, nor trying to social distance at all. It looks like the management either has given up or agrees with the "no mask" concept for whatever reason. We are all in danger of this virus and all need to work together to end it. That is not what I saw today in Ingles- and there are many other grocery stores in the Asheville area- I will be patronizing them.

Most of the workers and the people that go in are not wearing masks, do not go in if you feel unsafe. Go to Publix where they are super safe with cleanliness and wearing masks.
