Met the lady that works there in a gas station about 20 minutes from there and they had bails of Hay. Awesome people helping animals and the community

Like many vets(my cousin is a vet). They have no clue after they charge you for X-rays ($275), then blood work and urine work. More unnessary costs. Under an examination they couldn’t tell if a bone was broke? After alll this, and more money for meds, all they can come up with is guesses. I can guess too. Next recommendation is a $2000 mri. And or cat scan. Front office is clueless. Even after I wrote my name they still got it wrong. Would not recommend. They are there for up charges and money knowing you will do anything for your pet and you are not an expert. Couldn’t even administer the first dose of medication while my pet was in pain. Also mentioned euthanasia as another option, which I am sure is another big cost for them to administer a shot. Too bad money is the objective not care and empathy. Almost $700 for not much. Not worth the value. Don’t recommend.

Top notch caring professionals.
I am so very grateful for the people who work here. They were kind considerate and gracious with us in the midst of a terrible situation with our fur baby.

Very kind. An informal also saw that I was upset over my dog and $500 bet bill but advise me to spend the day to see if the dog improved before spending that amount of money which shows the integrity of the company and the employees working there. Excellent job ladies!!!

Our dachshund got a fishing hook stuck in his nose around 7p. We got here at 8p and they had sedated him, took him back to remove the hook, had him woke up and meds in hand ready for us to go before 9p. The staff was very welcoming and very quick to get our issue resolved. The cost have all of this done was very reasonable in our opinion. We Will most definitely be back here if an emergency situation happens again.

Dr. Sarah and her assistants were excellent to our goat herd. They had their hooves trimmed, eyes checked and vaccinations completed. We are so thankful!

We rushed our boy in late Tuesday evening only to discover he was likely beyond saving with a ruptured mass on his spleen and abnormal liver. We made the impossible choice to put him down. Dr Alex and team were so so kind and respectful through the whole process. Today I received an unexpected card in the mail with their condolences and my dog's nose/paw print. Thank you all so much for everything ❤️

Love, love, love Appalachin Animal Hospital!!! All the Doc’s and staff are welcoming and attentive to ours and our dogs needs. We have been to several veterinarians in the greater Asheville area and feel fortunate to have found a group of care givers that understand our Dobermans needs and temperament. Our dog is happy going to the AAH and we never feel rushed.
Thank you

A uti cost me $1400. That’s outrageous and now I can’t afford to keep my pet.

Stay as far away from this vet clinic as possible!!!! They only care about taking your money!!!!! Their facility is FILTHY, the vet spends minimal time with your pet at visits. My dog has seizures and requires Kepra which is a very old and cheap medication. They charge me over $200 a month for this when as a nurse I know this is an old medication that costs less than $20 normally. When my dog couldn’t walk on her leg they refused to see her and told me to take her over an hour from where I live to a emergency vet in Asheville where immediately that vet diagnosed her with Lyme disease and treated her immediately. The staff are rude and uncaring. I can’t say one good thing about this place. My neighbor takes her dog to Burnsville and is very pleased with her vet. That is where we will be going from now on. Appalachian Animal hospital doesn’t care about your pet just your money.
