While Mast is technically a chain it's a local/regional one. I shop there or other local outfitters vs Amazon. The prices are a tad high but always good brands, good quality and they have successfully kept that "feel". Plus the downstairs candy and local products section is full of tasty stuff.

Great place to find premium products. If you haven't been to a Mast General Store, you are missing out.
Mast General Store offers friendly service and a broad selection of goods, including locally produced food, hundreds of old-fashioned candies, kitchen supplies, housewares, souvenirs, and children’s toys and games. The Mast Store also features fashion collections as well as outdoor-themed apparel, gear, footwear, and an extensive Knife Shop. Mast General Store is pet, family, and explorer-friendly with a knowledgeable staff that prides itself on hospitality. The Waynesville Mast Store was the first location outside of North Carolina’s High Country. Set at the gateway to the Great Smoky Mountains, this Mast General Store opened in 1991.
