3360 Crabtree Rd, Waynesville“This gas station is pretty bare bones. There's a couple of gas pumps outside and inside there are restrooms, but just one for toilet women and one for men. The snack selection is also pretty sparse but they did have a small selection of freeze dried fruit like blueberries, pineapples, mangoes, and strawberries. That's a fun little treat for the road! The beverage second is also pretty small (unless you're getting beer) and there is no soda fountain with ice. Try to make a stop before you enter North Carolina if you want a variety of snacks, beverages, ice and other things for your road trip. The staff are very nice and friendly definitely worth a stop if you need.”

1783 S Main St, Waynesville“Mountain Energy is a Shell Oil Company gas station and Convenient store. They have Public Restrooms, cold drinks and a Dairy Queen Ice cream and Hamburger shop. We love using our SHELL DISCOUNT CARD and getting 5 cents off each gallon of gas we buy. I just wish that the Prices of Gasoline would come down so it wasn't so costly to fill up your tank ?”
“This is the nicest locally owned gas station/shop I have ever been to. It competes with one of the bigger nice stores like a Love's of QT. It's super clean, bathrooms are clean, well stocked with paper towels and TP, not awkward/crowed and smell goodThere are cute detailed Christmas decorations on the walls - including cute hand drawn bathroom door decor. It is spacious and you don't feel crowded. They have a wide selection of things you would expect to find in a gas station like drinks, snacks, ice cream, souvenirs of Great Smoking Mountains and UT. The prices are too high but consistent with the overpricing you see at all gas stations shops. The actual gas price was competetive. The floors and clean. The staff is super friendly. You don't really go into a gas station hoping to be impressed, you more just go in hoping it's not gross, but I was thoroughly impressed.”
“A Sunoco gas station on the way to Maggie Valley. Plenty of pumps and parking. A banana, or Sour Patch Kids. Budweiser or Monster Mean Bean. They can accommodate either. Get your Viceroy's and a hotdog. $7.75 in Unleaded if your returning from Harrah's in Cherokee. I hope you get home. No she won't let you hold another 20. You should have stopped playing slots.”

590 Russ Ave, Waynesville“Thank you for the pleasure of a visit to your bright, clean, and orderly store yesterday! I can’t remember when I last saw a store of any kind so tidy and pleasant! This store will be my Pharmacy of choice any time I’m in this area, because it does seem that the managers and staff care about their jobs and customers.”

590 Russ Ave, Waynesville“I first went into Walgreens to get zepbound, which the other surrounding pharmacies could not get. I was very happy about that. But I had a coupon for it that the initial pharmacist could not apply, stating, "This coupon only works if your insurance covers the medication." I was so upset. Having to pay $1100 for it, when everyone in my group was paying half. The next time I went in to fill my prescription, I spoke with Aryanna. I mentioned that Eli Lilly stated that the coupon applies to those who have commercial insurance that does NOT cover the medication (It is brand new). She said, "Of course it does!". She was the most helpful young lady, who knew what she was doing. She applied my coupon after a little go around on the register and boom. "I got that discount for you!" I was so happy, I was jumping up and down. I cried when I left. I loved that experience at Walgreens. Particularly working with Aryanna. The initial interaction cost me an extra $550. But I am overlooking that. Hope Aryanna is there when I come back, or at least she trains the other young lady on how to apply these coupons!”

773 Russ Ave, Waynesville“I know there’s issues with the phones and maybe not getting the best customer service. But these people are always slammed, the place always packed. Prescriptions overflowing the bins. They turn over prescriptions fast and I know they’re working hard.”
“Small lot for truck parking, please don't leave your rig unattended. Sam's Mart is a hidden gem with clean facilities, good down home southern hospitality, friendly faces & a good selection of things travellers need & want with easy access to & from I-40. I'm looking forward to coming back again & again. Absolutely better than the big chain truck stops!”
