Great little place to find some antiques and other items. Lots if vendors under one roof. Each little section is a different vendor, with their own goods to offer. Some vendors offer a homemaker, which are really cute. I wish I could've bought everything. Did find a few items to take home with me and a couple for the grandkids.

Words cannot describe how much I love this store. If you need antiques ranging from sports cards to Barbie’s, I would come here! The owner is very nice and whenever I come here I am never disappointed. They also sell very good naturally sourced honey!

Very Cool Place, met a 90 year old vet, and masonry contractor. Makes hand carved Hummingbirds, on this location, Saturday's. I pulled up a venders chair and we talked about an hour or so. Made My Day. Such Knowledge and Kindness to share stories with me , More entertaining than anything on TV. Or anywhere else. I encourage everyone to get out and open your eyes and accept others, and listen, you will learn so much more than any other source. Turn off the media and say hello to to others and listen to what they say it's a wealth of knowledge, Kindness and respect for all to learn and live By.. How I'm going back to visit him next week!!

Same as every other antique shop in Waxhaw.I have to agree, to call this a general store is incorrect. It is NOT a general store, it is one of the too many antique shops in Waxhaw. I understand trying to keep old things relevant but, times also do need to change. This is a town of 20,000 people. It seems the focus is to only cater to those 65+? Let's be more open minded. The bakery in here already closed. I'm sure the profit at this place is very small. Can we possibly get something more than antiques and crafts here?

Always enjoy visiting. It is a charming shop with the feel of a “general store”. Have frequented often for last minute gifts for all ages. My most recent visit was for Christmas stocking stuffers. My out of town friends and family enjoy it too and always leave with a little piece of Waxhaw. Love supporting the many small businesses represented. Keep up the good work!

What a great addition to downtown Waxhaw! Nice folks run this bakery/antiques shop/functioning historic workshop.Tell the kids to put their cell phones away for a few minutes and visit this cozy destination.

Glad we found this shop in Waxhaw. We almost missed it but just happened to look down the street from the corner. We totally missed the small A-frame sign on the sidewalk at the corner. The owners were super friendly. My wife bought a couple of gifts. The bakery was closed when we were there but we will be back. My suggestion is that a sign be allowed to be placed on the side of the brick building at the corner so visitors know they are down there. :)

The historic Collins Barn has been renovated and is now The Mule Barn Mercantile that will take you back to the good old days! It is a great new addition to downtown Waxhaw. It features an old-fashioned general store with all sorts of goodies like local honey and pure maple syrup and a terrific bake shop called "The Baker" where you can find fresh breads, croissants and pastries. You can even learn how brooms were made back in the day. The barn also features local vendors that sell unique pottery, art glass, and wood bowls too. It’s a great way to spend some time with your family when you come and visit Waxhaw - I highly recommend! I took a bunch of pictures as words just don't do it justice.
