I've used discount tire all over the country for my business vans. My girlfriend got a flat tire so I recommended here and didn't get involved to see how they operate at the wake Forest location and they didn't disappoint. Definitely know what they're talking about and don't try and sale you more than you need. Im just saying.... If you get the tire warranty discount tire does actually honor it and treats it as they would any tire. I had 2 vans in the past get a nail that couldn't be repaired and was near the life of the tire, so like they would anytime recommend 4 new tires instead of just the one, meaning I got the one tire free and the others at a discounted rate since they weren't actually damaged. Have sent plenty of people to discount tire over the years and they are the real deal.

My wife and son just went up there to get two new back tires on his car and as he was pulling in his check engine light came on. The car would then not start. They were able push the car into the bay, change the tires, and then one of the mechanics was nice enough to do a quick evaluation and determined it was a coolant issue. He told my wife and son exactly what to get which they went and did and sure enough after a little more cool down it started back up. They really did not have do that but I am so thankful that they did. They got a customer for life!

First time I went was 2 years ago. I asked if they could patch the tire because there was a nail with an extremely slow leak. Instead of saying they couldn’t patch it, they waited until they pulled the nail out to wheel the now flat tire into the lobby and inform me I’d have to buy a new tire because my car was no longer driveable due to their scummy business practices.
Today, I had another nail. I figure maybe it was a one off thing last time so I try again. They say it’ll be an hour or so of a wait so I walk next door to look around at the furniture place. When I get back, they’ve left my vehicle in the parking lot with all the windows down while it’s raining. The entire interior is soaking wet. Worst experience I’ve ever had with discount tire. This one store has ruined the company for me.

Main point: Zac was awesome.
Details - I was trying to squeeze the tire appt in between some appts and Zac had been actively managing my appt. When the "tire teams" seemed to be falling behind and were unsympathetic that I had been waiting for 2 hours already (for just two tires) Zac literally decided to do the work himself. Zac grabbed my car, brought it into the bay and had me out in less than 15 minutes. The dude is a hero. It's so rare to come across people like this.

Great customer service. I called looking for some trailer tires. They did not have them in the store “neither did anyone else”. They ordered the tires and they arrived a couple of days later. I took the old tire and rim off the trailer, brought them up there and dropped them off. I told them I was in no rush, just needed them by the close of business, they called about an hour later and said they were ready. The entire experience was excellent, I will be back.
Just an FYI for anyone bringing a tire for repair, they will not patch a tire if you have put a plug in it. So if you are bringing a tire up there for repair, pull the plug out of it first…….

Noticed a screw in my tire, initially went to AAA and they told me it couldn't be repaired and wanted to sell me a tire. I decided to go to DT for a 2nd opinion, and glad I did. They fit me in and got me taken care of in about an hour. Very fast for as busy as they were. These guys were great, and it was a free service on top of that! Will only go here from now on for my tire needs!
