My family did the walking tour. We have 3 young kids (ages 4 and under). Mr. Shipley and all the workers were fantastic. They were all so kind with our kids and made it a fun experience for all of us! They were genuinely interested in getting to know us and why we decided to do the tour. I would highly recommend doing it no matter your family size or stage. We ended up getting some steak to take back to our Airbnb and it was truly incredible.

Our visit to Shipley Farms was a delightful and enriching experience that exceeded all our expectations. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth and hospitality by everyone we encountered. Bob Shipley, the owner, is not only a fantastic farmer but also an incredible educator. He took the time to share his wealth of knowledge about sustainable farming practices and cows, which made our tour both informative and engaging.
We were fortunate enough to purchase some fresh beef from the farm, and it was absolutely delicious—undoubtedly some of the best we've ever tasted. The quality and flavor were truly exceptional, reflecting the care and dedication that Bob and his team put into their work.
Already, we are planning our return visit for next year, this time to stay in their unique Safari Tents. The idea of being surrounded by the beautiful farmland while enjoying such comfortable accommodations sounds like a perfect getaway. If you're looking for an unforgettable experience filled with learning, relaxation, and great food, Shipley Farms is a must-visit!

My group had the best experience on our tour. We even got to meet some extended family and friends of the owner and it added so much charm and memories to our trip. The farm is beautiful and understanding more about the farming in general was very valuable. Highly recommend bringing the whole family here!

Terrific family-owned and operated pasture-raised beef producer. Great cuts available (I got flat iron steaks) and homemade sausages (sweet Italian—yumm). A short, easy detour just off US 321/421 just West of Boone. Totally worth a visit. Also check out the glamping tents above the pasture, which we found on AirBnB—well-appointed luxury “camping” and a beautiful view of the pasture below. Haven’t done a farm tour but we’ll go back for one!

Mr. Bob Shipley greeted us at the door and for the next 45 minutes we were informed and entertained! We learned how Shipley Farms came to be and learned so much about different cuts of meats! The Huston Ribeye, named after his Uncle Hous , was absolutely amazing!! Anyone reading this should have the same experience! So please go to Shipley Fsrms and ask for Bob Shipley!! You won’t be disappointed!

Shipley is a wonderful organization with super friendly staff who offer some excellent grass fed beef products. We love the steaks and other cuts and they are happy to work with us for special cuts. We buy Shipley for ourselves and it is also a wonderful option for corporate gifts, Father’s Day, or any occasion at all! Love Shipleys!

We found this ahhhhdorable butcher shop/farm as we were traveling. Family owned and operated and I cannot express how awesome and helpful they were. Take the time to chat and listen to their story, shop the store and look at the pictures. Hubby was like a kid in a candy store! Beef ribs, Brisket, Hamburger and so much more. If you are in the area stop in, I promise it will be worth it!!
