“I love this post office! Robin is always friendly and helpful, and I think it's great that this historic post office building is still in use. Just a note-they are open Monday to Friday until 4PM-closed on the weekends.”
“Suzanne at the post office in banner elk helped us with our passport renewals today. She was amazing and very informative and helped me organize my steps I needed to take. I hope she receives some recognition for the amazing job she is doing.”
“I am not sure why this location has low reviews...I have ALWAYS had a positive experience when using this location. The staff are friendly and helpful. Even if a staff member is "not feeling it" that day....they are never rude. I am thankful for all the help they offer with any postal needs.”
“I recently moved to Blowing Rock, & it hasn’t been the easiest…Mail-wise. My husband and I being the only long term renter’s, in a quadplex….with 3 other short-term rentals (AB&B type)…throw in a super busy landlord, who lives in Raleigh. Yeah…this is truly a one of a kind..first/last time rental experience. In being such, it has come with its own unique problem-set to troubleshoot & resolve.
Not to mention each individual unit has its own mailbox, that’s out of order, offset a ways away from the quadplex, alongside all of the other houses mailboxes, at the front entrance to our collective housing park.
Even with all the units having their own unit designation 1-4, each # is hardly legible on the any of the 4 mailboxes for the house, then add each actual Unit’s, onsite door as not being properly marked with their designated unit #… but rather each having an individually marked & totally random ‘name’ associated, in place of their respective address’s Unit#…none of which are mentioned in the address…yeah a whirlwind for disaster…no matter the delivery service. Hahaa unless you’re Amazon…but only because they usually allow for delivery instructions when shipping.
I’ve either had 5/6 stolen packages, or 5/6 wrongfully-delivered packages…since moving here this year (in a total of 6.5 months). Again I say… it’s been chaotic.
I had one experience where I spoke to one employee that I felt may have just been having a tough time, off day & I’d rather not mention the specifics of that…in knowing we all have bad days & experience low moods…these things are bound to happen to us all, & yet still time & work must go on…because life pauses for no one, & bills need to get paid. Plus bad reviews aren’t my thing. Again these things happen, & aren’t/ shouldn’t be assumed to be the summation of a person nor place.
But good reviews are my thing, & aside from that one experience, I would like to specifically mention James (a total rockstar) & Tonya (who is on, what I am sure to be a WELL EARNED, MUCH DESERVED vacation). Both of these employees have been working with me to figure out how best to sort the ongoing issues I’ve been having with my packages. From their timely responses, helpful information given, down to their time (even 3 min to close) & overall consideration given. Even though my issue is still a work-in-progress, I take comfort knowing a permanent solution is imminent, as each conversation thus far, that I’ve had with both James & Tonya, has been informative, resolution focused, & feels like actual progress being achieved.
So this is my shout out to those two!!! USPS Blowing Rock’s REAL MVP’s!!!!! Cheers to yall, thank you again for your support in alleviating some of the stress affiliated with this move to a new city! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!”
