Overpriced isn't the real problem... the bathroom facility is a disgusting tiny portapotty they call "the outhouse" with no way to wash hands, hang a coat or even turn around inside, it's so small.

This place has gotten expensive over the years. This building may also no longer be safe for food preparation with the amount of structural issues, rot, and mold in places. No working bathroom for at least a year. Just a place full of junk and overpriced items now. The facade has worn away.

Tons of fun kitschy stuff! Was fun to explore inside and then check out the sanctuary behind.

This place could be amazing. The inside needs so much help there was so much mold and dust it wasnt great for asthma or anyone with lung issues. The staff wasn't really on the floors just at the front hanging out. The animals.... ugh the animals are amazing but also their pens are so incredibly tiny! There's no room for them to live, it's like looking at animals in temp pens at carnivals they can turn around and eat that's about it. If they could get the staff in and clean the place up? It has potential. There were also roaches up by the icecream and fudge area so we passed on that for safety

Closed. We live about an hour away. Stopped for a visit at 3:00 pm on Wednesday to visit store and birds today. Closed. Even the bird santuary in back of store was closed and locked. Saw a man counting money inside but no one else around. All doors were locked. So disappointing! Will not ever stop here again!

The animals there are great, the parrots love to talk and dance and laugh and to scream as well I had a really great time and I think any other kid's family's or even couples or adults too.

Overall, it was a super cute place. We drove past to take our kid to her appointment and decided to stop by on the way back. The shop is pretty crammed but had sooo many options, it was great! Definitely something for everybody there. The part with the animals wasn’t as great, they should definitely have larger cages. It smelled to high heavens.. have been to many big zoos that have not even smelled that bad. We had to leave the animal part sooner than expected because the smell. I enjoyed saying hello to the parrots & them responding! I would go back, but just for the shop & I am glad we stopped by.

Wow....what a store. Described as a country store but I've never seen such an eclectic assortment of goods. Lots of delicious goodies like candies, jams, jelly, ice cream, sodas, and on and on. Huge assortment of pet items and outdoor decorations. This is a must see store. To much to list or describe.

We want to love this store so bad but the prices are out of this world for the most part. We were there again recently and just bought drinks because we felt guilty for doing the animal walk through which in its self is awesome. The store has such potential but this economy may be its demise as people just are not buying these type items. We were a family of four in the store mid day last Saturday and there were only maybe 3 other people shopping inside. We are THE BIGGEST proponents of buying local but this is a tough one.

This is the saddest animal sanctuary I have ever seen. None of these animals are in there proper environment, or have the proper cooling elements/heating elements. The enclosures are way to small and not properly fit for each animal. It is very obvious these animals are used as an attraction and not properly cared for. I don't know how this place is legally allowed to have these animals. From what I have seen this is just a tourist attraction to get you to "donate" to the animals when the animals clearly do not receive care or proper enclosures.

Don't waste your time. This place is a dump inside and out. On top of that be prepared to pay extra if you decide to buy something with your credit card, and don't think they make you aware of this at the time, unless the owner will claim it's post on sign somewhere. If you want to charge me for using a credit card then raise your prices and offer a cash discount, but charging me extra in hopes I don't see a posted sign is the best way to get a 1 star review.

I am appalled at all of the 5 star reviews. I was hoping for a clean, well organized store to buy some things from on vacation. Expired food products and dirty. It needs an overhaul and deep clean from the outside into the inside. Inside there was a bucket for a leak in the roof. I looked up and full of mold. I don't think it's rained in a few days. Shame. They did offer something for everyone. I suppose stop here if it's an emergency to buy something.

I recently went searching for a lost bird. we will never know for sure if it belonged to my elderly disabled friend, We just wanted to rule it out if it was and get closure for my friend. The visit ended badly. As for the store, I didn't like the dead preserved alligators for sale in the store..it made me sad. I didn't like it but some might. I really, really liked the zookeepers Jacob and Amelia. I know they really love their animals. I felt like they do a lot with what is probably a modest budget. The cages were well kept. The cockatoo cage was very clean and I didn't see caked feces. The store employees were sweet, too.
