Food is always excellent and unique as is the wine list . Recommend reservations once it’s the summer and tourist season . Does have off hours at times , and is certainly pricey for most.

Beach shop and Grill is definitely the best restaurant in the area. That said it is overpriced and its wine menu is not good at all. Bottles start at almost $100 and go up. No bottles in the 50-60 range. And then what really irks me is the 3% fee for a credit card at the end. Of all the people in the restaurant that night I'm guessing less than two paid cash. The high prices certainly should cover this fee!

My husband and I have been here multiple times over the last 5 years and tonight was so disappointing. The steak was the dryest piece of meat you could have imagined and the remaining entrees our table ordered were extremely underwhelming for the price. The "rack" of elk was two extremely small pieces for an astronomical price. A $400 meal that was overwhelmingly disappointing and was not a culinary experience as we've had in the past. Save your money and go elsewhere.

Popped in during a Sunday drive with my parents. Food was amazing! Service a tad slow at first but great overall. Shop inside is awesome too. See pics of delicious food...tasty and beautiful presentation.Parking: It was off season so easy for us. Not sure how it'd be during high summer season.

I have dined here twice; once for dinner and once for lunch. Dinner made me pinch myself that I wasn't in this area. I say this because a lot of restaurants are not good here to me, and I misscity living and all the good restaurants. Lunch was a totally different place in my eyes. I ordered a BLT and a sweet tea. My bibb lettuce was not dried off enough, and I was served soggy bread and 1 piece of bacon. This was disappointing for the price tag. I hope the next time I dine in, the prices come down a little bit because this is not the area for these prices and the consistency comes back.

Not only the best place on Topsail, but some of the best food in North Carolina! Hands down some of the most delicious hand crafted plates and drinks. The service is always phenomenal and the staff treats customers with care. A must when on Topsail!!!!

The Beach Shop and Grille is a great date night, and they do have wonderful cocktails. However, I refuse to give my credit card for a reservation to eat at a restaurant. Charging $15 a person for not canceling a dinner reservation within 24 hours is absurd! Beauchaine’s 211 has great views, wonderful food and cocktails that are comparable to the Beach Shop and Grill. You also will get more food for your money. Just an FYI for those who want another date night option but don’t want to give your credit card out just to make a reservation.

Sausage Biscuits and gravy was cold.. biscuits were hard and gravy had weird strings of onions cooked into it..guys had smash burgers and fries which they said was delicious. French press coffee was best of it all but $6 a cup seems excessive.

The burger was not bad but way overpriced for what you get. The ice tea, if you could call it that, looked like they dipped water out of the toilet. Beach water definitely sucks but don't serve it to your customers. This is a 3 star restaurant that thinks it's a 5 star.

I'll start this review by saying, my family and I have been going to beach grill since it was a hotdog and burger, lunch-only spot. It's been up-and-down over the years, and now they seem to have forgotten their roots and the people that have supported them over the decades. We come to Topsail several times throughout the year, we love it here. One of our traditions is a nice dinner out with our daughter at Beach Grill. This summer we tried to go on a Wednesday night, I was informed that they now take reservations, so we wouldn't be able to be seated inside. We sat on the patio with all the flies. It was a $150+ meal that was mediocre at best. The plate sizes have gotten smaller and the prices have gotten much bigger. The brussels sprouts were very dry/burnt, the fish I got was not seasoned and my daughters mac & cheese was very pricey when box would have tasted better. When we returned this fall, I made a reservation well in advance after my husband convinced me to give them another try. He was sure it would be better inside than it was on the patio. Maybe it was just a fluke The day before our reservation. I got a call that a wedding party decided to move inside so they're canceling our reservation. Keep in mind they take a credit card for reservations because if YOU cancel they'll charge you. When I explained we were from out of town, and we had made this reservation well in advance I was told they are open for lunch if I'd rather do that. It's sad and very disappointing. I know plenty of families that own homes here and vacation here and trust me I am not the only one that has had bad experiences and mediocre food for a big price tag. Again, this place has been a staple for us. I've been going to the beach grill for 30 years or more, since I was a little girl.We have always loved and supported them through all the changes. Until now.

Cute place, food was disappointing. Crab cakes, no flavor, cold. Glass of white wine they poured had soured , me and my husband could tell, but they were quick to recognize their mistake and change it out. I ordered scallops and husband got market fish, meh. I love a nice outing and have no problem paying $200 for a date night but yikes the food was disappointing! the vibes were good, waitress was nice, but we stopped by grocery store after to grill salmon to quite literally, cleanse our pallets and eat dinner! Crab cakes should never be that bland :(

Delicious food and great service...disappointed that the fried green tomatoes that the local raved about are no longer an appetizer. The shop attached is full of
