What a wonderful place! The customer service is exceptional. You are not just a number when you walk through the door. They listen to you and either find what your looking for or suggest what would best suit your needs. They have a very nice in store selection as well. I highly recommend this store!!! Cheers!!!

All my visits thus far have been welcomed by friendly and informative staff. Location in the 'old' portion of downtown Thomasville means that aisle spacing will be a tic on the small side, but it really means that they offer lots of merchandise for all your needs or are willing to get for you.

Mike's Trains is by far one of the best and affordable model train stores in the state of NC. Having purchased many models for my collection and gifts for friends, as well as had many locomotives worked on, it's always a joy to walk in those doors and see the friendly faces behind the counter. I will certainly continue my business there. And to the individual who posted 1 star, the store was closed when you visited because this family, that own the store, was comforting me and my family at my father's funeral in Salisbury. Not only do they run a magnificent train store but they are wonderful uplifting friends. I thank God for all of them. I encourage you to visit this store and see for yourself. Love you guys!

Very pleasant, honest people. I have sent two locomotives to them for repair so far and I have absolutely no complaints. One of these days I will get up to Thomasville and look in on them!

Nice family business and they have trains! A good selection of scales and scenery. If they don't have it, they can order it. Don't forget the double mains out in front of the store.
