OMG seriously THE BEST PLACE I've ever had to go to. My little family and I were on our return drive home from vacation when my car decided it was going to act up! I am not from the area AT ALL and was looking everywhere for someone open on a Friday, directly following a holiday weekend. They were not only open, they were empathetic to my situation. They were able to diagnose and fix my car in less than three hours! Amazing, considering I was a walk in! I am so thankful to them, their work ethic and overall customer service. They seriously restored my faith in humanity. For that, I couldn't be any more grateful.

I cannot recommend Hillman Family Automotive more! My husband and I were five hours from home when our jeep decided to break down and leave us stranded on a Friday morning. We felt hopeless. We couldnt find a rental car in town and werent sure how we would find anywhere to fix the issue in such a short notice. The guys at Hillman immediately put our fears at ease! They were friendly, caring, and empathetic of our situation. They quickly diagnosed the problem, retrieved parts from a neighboring shop, and fixed the issue all in one day. This was not an easy task, and they truly went over and beyond what most shops would do to help us out. In the meantime, they even loaned us a car to use so we weren't left stranded at the shop and could enjoy our day in the mountains. We are forever grateful for their services!

Great work, fair priced, great communication! Out vehicle was having trouble a couple days before we had to travel to another state. They did what they could to fit us in and get the vehicle repaired in time for us to leave. They will be our regular mechanic now in the area.

My sister came here to get an oil change, they took the oil out and never put anything back in. It was bone dry and almost blew her motor. STAY AWAY. They will also quote you for things that you don’t need just to get more money out of you. Another shady mechanic shop.

I've dealt with Hillmans for a few years now and I've had a few frustrating issues but some of it is because I have a Kia that has a check engine light that won't go out no matter what. But this week I had a scare on the hwy and had the car towed to them and it turned out to be something simple. Hillmans was wonderful, not charging me for anything unnecessary but even better regaining my trust after previous frustrations. They really are some of the best in town and I won't take my car anywhere else.

Made a rookie error and needed a quick fix as well as reassurance I hadn't just destroyed our car. They took care of me quickly and reassured me all would be fine. I would have been a sitting duck for a less reputable mechanic. First class shop!

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING SERVICE DOES NOT BEGIN TO DESCRIBE WHAT I EXPERIENCED TODAY.
Things happen.
A couple of months ago I had my flex plate replaced by HILLMAN AUTOMOTIVE's mechanic Mark.
After five previous mechanics could not identify the problem. He found it within an hour.
Unfortunately, the flex plate that was replaced did not have integrity in the metal and broke again.
Upon returning to HILLMAN AUTOMOTIVE, Alex. Will and Mark have honored their warranty to replace the flex plate with nothing out of pocket to me.
To top it off Ms Karin the last time I was here was able to get me signed up for SNAP financing which paid for 100% of the job interest-free as long as I paid it off in the first 90 days.
I CANNOT RECOMMEND THEM HIGHLY ENOUGH!

Another great service! Use them again for the 100,000 mile belt, water pump, spark plugs etc. Acura MDX 2017. About 30% less than the dealer and they used all OEM parts. Top notch
Great service and very honest. They will clearly show you what is absolutely necessary and then what is perhaps a potential problem down the road. The technician came out and explained everything in detail. They also have a web based program that sends you all the photos and recommendations so you can assess things before you go in and talk to them. Highly recommend.

Not a good experience with these folks… Went in for a simple oil change and ended up with an estimate for repair work on issues that didn’t even exist. In their courtesy inspection, they did a lot more than just change my oil which was not what I asked for. They took my truck for a joy ride without any consent, and caused tremendous anxiety.
For peace of mind and quality, go to Ridgecrest auto, the AAA center for actual service!

I was very pleased with the professional service I received from Hillman Family Automotive. I was having AC problems with my Cadillac Escalade and the technicians jumped on it. No problems, no drama to and a good and fair price. I feel I've found a good, reliable auto service shop in Sylva. They are on my speed dial. Thanks, guys!
