If Nia is running the place, no matter how good the teachers are, your kids are not in good hands. I simply questioned Nia about who is watching my child due to 3-5 incident reports DAILY. She refused to communicate with me and dismissed my child for no reason at all. No notice- nothing. No person should have so much authority as to who comes and goes WITHOUT probable cause. Stay away! Staff turnover explains a lot of how this place is ran.

Love this pre-school - our grandchildren attend. The staff are friendly, compassionate, communicative and very attentive to our Little Grands. The rates are very reasonable and the location is very clean.

I remember coming here as a kid. I was here from k-6th grade and honestly? It's meh. The things to do there were boring to me, but the staff were always pretty chill. One of them immediately rushed over to help me that one time I face planted while playing tag with my friends outside. (I still miss you Ms. Sadie <3) Overall, they'll keep a kid safe but some kids may find it a bit boring. Nia gave me weird vibes though, and wouldn't give me access to the internet so I could do my homework back in 2017. The teacher were always amazing though.

Excel 11's administration is a joke! My son attends the 3-school program there and has had an issue with another child in his class biting him 4 times in 1 month. Nia threw her hands in the air, shrugged her shoulders at me and told me, "sorry, not much I can do for you, You can move centers if there is one with a spot open somewhere else". I cannot believe it! I contacted the state about it and they "investigated" the center and found "no violations" because there was "no evidence". Did they want pictures of this kid biting my son? They have incident reports of each action but I guess that isn't enough. The teacher turnover rate is terrible. Look elsewhere for your child to keep them safe! I'd give ZERO stars if I could.

I love this school so much! The staff there are educated, kind, and welcoming. My youngest son started out in the NCPK program and has been going there since. He is now almost 11 and I will be pretty sad to have him leave after he ages out when he turns 13. The before and after school care is a blessing along with the summer program. And when your child is excited to go and doesn't want to leave when you come pick them up, you know someone is doing something right. Children are pretty particular and great judges of character. I would recommend Excel to any parent always!

I have had nothing but positive experiences with Excel 11. Their staff are educated and always friendly. They are truly there for the children! My children are excited to go to school there and be with their teachers while mommy and daddy are at work. My children have been going here for years, starting in the infant room all the way up to school age.

This center has a hard time retaining staff. Why? Nia uses her authority to stab her employees in the back. I would not recommend Excel 11 to anyone that wants a stable environment for their child. Here's a test, pay close attention to how teachers come and go from this facility. Keep track of how many new teachers you see every 30 to 60 days. Most teachers are working above and beyond to help fulfill the state teacher to child ratio needs, because Nia once again, has failed her employees and at retaining staff. Nia, does not deserve the position of director, at all. Excel headquarters, your choice in director is what is hindering you from keeping staff. Be smart. Parents and new hires, you have been warned.

Ms. Ashley and Ms. Bella were amazing with my daughter this year. Caring and supportive, they have the best interests of the children at heart. I highly recommend swansboro excel as everyone has been kind and professional!
