AMY is the main retail supplier of mulch in the Asheville area. Its competitor has OK mulch, but most landscapers say (correctly) that it tends to have weed seeds in it. AMY's mulch is the best. Here's the catch: If you're getting anything from AMY, have someone go get it for you or get it yourself if you can. I'm not sure why other reviews say they place the mulch where you need it. Not true. My experience is that the company must have run into some real problems delivering, and (no kidding) they will not drive down a completely flat straight, paved driveway and unload it. In other words, they only dump it on your property beside the street/road. ONLY. That means if you need it on the other side of your yard, you have to move it. You're going to have to pay for delivery anyway, so you might as well get it placed close to where you need it without the hassle (and yet another expense).

When I called to order the young lady suggested I had measured wrong and I ended up ordering twice as much as I needed. Should have stuck with my measurement. The man who delivered it was very nasty! I had a tarp on the ground where I wanted it he dump all small amount on the tarp and the rest in the street. I had to hire neighborhood teens to help move it. I had soooo much I gave away loads to neighbors and a neighbor hood garden. The worse of all was that it really wasn’t mulch it was more soil. It contained several kinds of molds. These large blobs of bright yellow piles showed up everywhere. By the next day they turn to a white/beige color and looked like clouds on the ground. It was discussing. If you punctured them or tried to was away they exploded into this chocolate brown dust the flew everywhere and you guess it spawned new clouds of nasty fungus. The mulch also.containedOther fungi that gave a disease to 12 hydrangea and several other plants in my newly landscaped garden and yard it also spread to the grass and my yard of lush green grass was destroyed and I had to replace 7 of the 12 hydrangea’s and 5 are still struggling to come back. Take my advice and don't buy your mulch here. It’s contaminated and will destroy everything you have worked hard to plant and create within your landscaping.
