I love this place! It's here for such a great reason! I visit as much as I can to help support the turtles. The staff is always wonderful and most of them are volunteers. North Carolina is about as far north as the turtles go to lay their eggs. The staff here helps protect them and also takes in sick and injured ones to release back in the ocean when they are well enough to fend for themselves again. I'll be back soon!

Absolutely loved this place. What a great opportunity to learn and share about the turtles,ecology, Topsail Island's history and support their rescue efforts!!Go! You won't be disappointed.

Great place to learn about sea turtles and ongoing conservation efforts. It is a mission driven hospital, not an aquarium. James was a very friendly and knowledgeable guide.

If you are in the area, touring The Karen Beasley Sea Turtle Rescue and Rehabilitation Center is a MUST DO! What an absolutely incredible experience and one I won't forget! Our tour guide, Thomas (Intern), was extremely knowledgeable and patiently answered all of our questions as we walked through all of the displays and facility. Seeing the sea turtles up close and knowing that they are being cared for and loved by such wonderful people is a beautiful thing! Thank you to everyone at KBSTRRC for all that you do!

It was very informative. It was difficult to hear our tour guide In the tank room. Very echo-y and their were 2 other 2 groups doing the same thing on both sides of us so it was hard to hear at times. But over all it was nice

Such a fun experience I would highly recommend for anyone interested in sea life. I was so incredibly impressed with the staff and the amazing hands on tour that they provide. The turtles are so so adorable and the little gift shop they have has merchandise with their actual turtles on them, making it truly unique and special. An event that holds a warm memory.

The tour would have been interesting and informative had I been able to hear it. Unfortunately, they book tours every 10 minutes, so the tour guides were next to each other, talking over each other and it was very hard to hear or understand what was being said. It also felt like an assembly line at a factory.Finally, getting to the place was difficult; the road was not paved and the ground was not even, what a mess!!!

You have to make a reservation to go with the tour group. Luckily they were able to add us on. The tour group teaches you about the facility and sea turtles. They will lead you into the room with the tanks and you walk around the railing. Snooki, the largest turtle, was facing the other side of the tank when we entered. Later in the tour she started moving and coming to the surface. Many people in the group walked back for pictures. A rude woman employee came from out of nowhere to tell us to get back with our group even though we were still in the same room with them and there was no other group behind us. Ruined the whole trip for me. I paid to see the sea turtles not be herded like cattle.

I cannot say enough good things about this place! The staff is so knowledgeable and helpful and you can tell they really care about the well being of the turtles. I’ve been wanting to visit here since I “Adopted” Lennie a few years ago. We came from Cleveland, OH!

Do not miss going here! You need to make reservations for your tour but it is worth every minute. I learned so much from our tour person about turtles and what this foundation is doing is amazing. I only wish I could be present when the turtles hatch and make their way to the sea!
