I absolutely love this real estate company. They take wonderful care of their clients and treat them like family. You can rent anything from a condo to a house on the beach. Their properties are always clean. Well kept look and smell great if you're going on vacation. And you want to rent a beach house? I would highly recommend this company. They take care of your every need and if you're not satisfied, they will make sure that you are the world before you leave the beach.
They are honest, hard-working people and super friendly. They are very knowledgeable about their houses. In the surrounding area.
And they have houses of all kinds, luxury homes to your basic home.

Do not rent from this company. Their properties are run down and have black mold. The photos you are seeing are from 1614 S Shore Dr Surf City, NC “Sandy Paradise”. I had to pour draino down two of the bathtubs and clean out hairballs the size of an orange to be able to take a shower. There is black mold growing in the garage and the dining room. There is water damage, all throughout the house. This is what $9,000 gets you. Disgusting, dangerous conditions. Take your money elsewhere.

We arrived at the house and everything REEKED OF DOG PEE. We went room to room and noticed a dog had peed on just about every single rug it was DISGUSTING! We contacted them and the next day The company offered to have the house cleaned AGAIN and sent over the same ladies who failed to clean it correctly the first time. They advised me that “the prior guest was a 2 week stay with a dog (who apparently peed all over) and they spent over 4 hours in the home trying their best to remedy what they could on the Sunday turn after the guest checked out to make it as ready as possible for you. The rolled up rugs in the kitchen was accidentally left behind by the inspector, who was absolutely mortified she forgot it when we asked her about it.” (Rugs that were covered in pee and also left other rugs around the home with pee on them) They also sent over a maintenance person to clear out the COMPLETELY unusable fenced in dog area that was covered in weeds and pickers. Also almost every fence post is worn/unnailed and the dogs push them aside and can go in and out. (So not fenced in) LASTLY when I asked them what the owner said regarding compensation they stated they can only reimburse me $470 which is ONE nights stay. We had cockroaches and an infestation of ants because none of the windows or doors seal.
I went back and looked at the photos online that I looked at before renting the house. THEY WERE ALMOST UNRECOGNIZABLE ! It seems they used photos from years ago when someone actually took care of the house and still promoted the house as being updated 2024.
Will never use ACCESS REALTY AGAIN OR STAY HERE!!!

We rented 2342-1 New River Inlet Road for the first week of August. To say we were disappointed was an understatement. The sliding glass door leaked during the rain as well as two of the windows. Mold was growing in the sliding glass door track and there were water stains and signs of damage on the ceiling. The living room floor was buckled and separating because when the sliding glass door track filled with water it spilled over into the living room floor. We complained multiple times with no resolution. We had to leave after three days because our daughter is allergic to mold and got sick. The photos of the home must have been taken years ago because it is not what access realty portrays it to be. They admitted that they were aware of the leaks but acted baffled that we are upset after giving them over four thousand dollars to rent a structure full of mold, and mildew. Someone from their office did reach out regarding a partial refund but it has been almost a week and we haven't heard back from them. Customer service is NOT their forte. Please don't make the same mistake we did. Vacations are meant to be fun, not frustrating

AVOID this company and their rentals. They misrepresent their listing's by showing nice photos and ONLY the good reviews. We rented 2342-1 New River Inlet Road and arrived to find that we had spent our hard earned money on a home that had leaking windows and doors, mold growing in it, stained furniture, buckled and separated floors, wet ceiling with water stains, and soft spots in the floor. It was pathetic and we had to leave after our 3rd night because my daughter is allergic to mold and ended up getting sick. I will post on any platform available to keep anyone else from dealing with this company or their nasty rentals.

We just got home from a vacation on Topsail Island having rented our condo through Access Realty. It was a very unpleasant and disappointing condo. Our rental was Villa Capriani 218A "Gone Coastal"
Positives: great location with good ocean views; condo complex had great pools for our 4 year-old; on-site laundry
Negatives: just about everything else including some serious mold issues
1. I definitely do not recommend this company for renters coming out of town. The rental agreement made it clear that checkin starts at 4pm but is not guaranteed at 4. Ok. Fine. We can work around that, but we had in mind that not "at 4" would be around 4-5pm. Via text they said it could be as late as 6pm. That's... really late after a very long day of travel.
2. We paid extra to have them provide linens, but it was only when we had the checkin go-ahead that we were told linens would arrive between 4 and 9pm! We were lucky and they were in the condo, but there was some definite frustration and fear that our 4 year-old who's travelled 9 hours to get to the condo won't have a bed to sleep in. In addition the kitchen linens were one washcloth and one very thin dishtowel. For 7 days of cooking and cleaning. Who needs that kind of annoyance and hassle!
2. The building itself was built in 1988. The plumbing is out-of-date and needs repairs. How do I know that? Because a water main had a problem and flooded our condo. The main bedroom hallway was then a wet-carpet swamp for 4 days. When the building maintenance came to do repairs, they had to cut open the ceiling. The maintenance issues are the building's issues and not Access Realty. However when I contacted Access Realty about the building issues, they said "thanks for the photos" but didn't offer any recourse or compensation. ~4/7 days of our week's vacation were frustrating and disrupted and Access did nothing to make that right by us.
3. The pictures on the website make the condo look up to date, but that's mostly a partial remodel and newer furnishings. The bathroom fixtures are dated. The appliances are dated. And then there's the mold.
4. Given the plumbing issues, it's not surprising the condo has a mold issue, but damn. We were all coughing, headachy, and unhappy. I'll post pictures. It's not just the plumbing. Basically all the bathroom fixtures have serious mold buildup, including the toilet.
All in all, the condo issues made the entire vacation stressful. Not what you want when you go to the beach.

We have been staying at a seasonal rental and Kelli K. has, from the start gone above and beyond. She helpful and has gone out of her way to make sure we were comfortable. JD in maintenance is attentive, communicative and present when an issue comes up. Honestly, such a lovely experience. The house is beyond perfect and was stocked with everything you could need in terms of cleaning supplies, trash bags, coffee filters, everything! The photo is just steps away from our rental.

Just moved into a long term rental 4 days ago. If I could give a zero I would. This entire experience was a disaster. The office was not very informative as we neared the move in date, the lack of communication was terrible. Was also informed of the things that would be completed prior to move in which was NOT done. WE had to pay out of our pockets for our carpets to be cleaned but yet we were told they were "professionally" cleaned prior to move in and floors would be fixed. This was all discussed when we went to look at the home as a potential rental. Kitchen floor was replaced but the subfloor is sinking and still soft due to where the renters before us either had pets or a leak of some sort. Ceiling fans supposed to be replaced prior to move in and a number of other things. Over all this was a terrible experience and I would not recommend renting a short term or long term from this company. Picture of carpets upon us moving in that were supposedly cleaned by professional's as well as a picture after WE paid for them to get cleaned.

Beautiful views! Convenient shower head outside to wash away sand before entering the house, amazing views for the sunrise. Locals are friendly. The pool is nice and has a covered shelter to hang out but not directly in the sun.

Access Realty delayed our check-in for our beach rental until after 5pm on Saturday. When we drove by the unit at 4pm an Access Realty repair van was in the driveway. Our rental's inside temp was 80 degrees upon check-in at 5:30 and a big noisy portable A/C unit had been placed on floor in master bedroom with flex hose extended thru a window. Texted agent to report the hot temp issue and texted response was the A/C unit had recently been serviced implying it was working fine. Sent a couple follow up text that the unit is not cooling. Auto response text said I would be called when offices opened Monday morning. Never was contacted. Each day during our week stay the thermostat temp rose to 80 degrees by 3pm and would not lower to set point of 72 degrees until after midnight (outside temps were never above 87 degrees) even with portable unit running constantly. Once they have your money Access Realty assumes no responsibility to meet customer needs / follow up on critical requests.

Renting from Access Realty has been a nightmare. They told me when I signed my lease that the carpets would be cleaned and walls would be touched up before I moved in. They knew I was leaving to work out of town for two weeks so when I got the keys, I left without having time to go to the property and inspect. I get back in town and show up with movers to discover the house had not been cleaned at all. The carpets stink and are filthy. Paint never touched up, there are white splotches all over the walls randomly. I contacted them to advise same and they said they would send cleaners out to clean the bathrooms, but that I didn't tell them about the carpet and paint before ten days so they would not hold up their end of the deal. Even though I was under the assumption it had been completed prior to me receiving keys. So then I move in and find all kinds of issues. For one, an exterior door is rotted and leaking all the way down causing smell and water damage and mold. They refuse to test for mold. It took them almost SIX MONTHS to even replace the rotted door that was gaped open just letting rain pour in. The deck boards are rotted so I had to beg for three months for those to be replaced then the guy comes and "replaces them" but only does half of them, leaves several screws undone to where they could be stepped on and cause injury, and some of them weren't a even nailed down at all! So the next time he comes back I am watching him because he did so horribly before and he complains about it. Well if he did his job and did not allow danger traps where my children could get hurt then I wouldn't have to babysit him! It takes them days or weeks to respond if they even do. Sometimes you have to walk in the office to even get them to help you. I would never recommend this business and in fact I would say run far away as fast as you can. It has been a nightmare since the day I started dealing with them. These are just a few examples, but I could keep going and going. Horrible experience.

I rented a oceanfront house with elevator being one of the main amenities since having my elderly mother with us. Two people were trapped when the elevator stopped above the floor. Several times it wouldn't move from main floor. The maintenance person came and saw the issues. I called and expressed my concerns. I called the second time and was told the owner agreed to reimburse one nights stay. After a week I called to see where we were in getting reimbursed. I'm now told the person I spoke with made a mistake and the owner had only agreed to 100 dollars, but since they made the mistake they were going to cover the one night. The amount I'm getting is around 307 dollars. The rental before taxes and fees was 2145.00 for three nights.Beware of this place!

This management company is the WORST we have ever worked with at Topsail!!! BEWARE, do not put a hold fee until you know the rental rates for the season!
We have rented the same place for 8 years which was previously managed by two different great company’s (Century 21 and Treasure Realty). This was our first year renting the same property through Access. We were told we needed to put a hold fee for the week we wanted without yet knowing the rental rates for the season (they hadn’t been decided). We paid the hold fee in good faith because over the previous 8 years, there was only a modest increase in rent from the previous year, so we had a decent idea of what rates would be. However, once they let us know the rental rates, we found they had doubled the rent from the previous year!!! We could not afford this and sadly had to cancel. The worst part is we were told the hold fee would not be returned to us because their policy is that this fee is non-refundable. Even though we were NOT made aware of this policy at the time we were requested to pay it! We simply got a phone call from the receptionist saying if we wanted to keep the reserved week we needed to pay a hold fee. No mention of this being non-refundable.
Will never rent through Access Realty again.
