They're so friendly here! And WOW to the helpfulness of the staff and police officers that helped make handicap accessible FOR REAL FOR REAL for me. They had a motorized scooter to borrow that I had to reserve the day before to ride on the pier. And they have mats on the soft sand so there was only about 15 feet of soft sand I had to walk in with help to get to THE OCEAN!!!! I actually could get into the ocean this year! This was wonderful! Sunset pier 10 out of 10. All u have to do is call the local police dept or pier to get more info about how to make it more handicap accessible for you!

I had a great time at Sunset Beach and of course I had to walk out to the end of the pier. Lots of people were fishing with great success I might add. I arrived at 7 am and grabbed a biscuit from the wonderful people working at the grill inside the store on the pier. It was good! I highly recommend coming here, especially to fish but just watching people who were was enjoyable as well as looking out across the ocean from the end of the pier especially. If you come, I am sure that you will enjoy it. Have a fantastic time!!
