I've been taking my dogs to Summerfield Vet for over 20+ years. I thought highly of this practice, but when I needed to take my injured dog to be seen for being attacked by another dog, I was told that they could not see her that day, ..."the Vets could not be overbooked". Well if you have taken on so many patients that you cannot see your own patient when they need you, then what is the point of establishing a relationship with my family. You did not take care of my animal when we needed you. You are just in it for the money obviously to take on so many patients that you can't even work in one that is injured and needing care. I will be taking my dog to a vet for now on that will provide CARE FOR for her and it will no longer be Summerfield Veterinary Hospital. Good luck SVH if you treat all your patients this way!! Very very disappointed family!!!

Dr. Ballard came highly recommended to us so when we moved from Las Vegas so we made appointments for our two puppies. Our vet from Vegas transferred everything. We arrived 15 minutes prior to our appointment. We waited for over 45 minutes past our appointment even though they weren't busy. I don't care how good of a vet he may be, it is so rude to make 2 puppies wait for over an hour to be seen. We finally had to leave but they could care less which tells me a lot about how they truly feel about animals!!!

My family has used this Veterinary hospital for many years for primary care. I like most of the staff that seem enthusiastic about their job and animals. I have brought up concerns with my animals that seem to be brushed off as normal but my pets have ended up with health issues that are not addressed until after seeing much worse affects. Kitten with kidney problems that were asked about months before passing. Dog with allergies with no sense in what direction we should address it. I would like if they would send an email, letter or call about reminders of appointments. Even if I missed an appointment because I'm busy with family I didn't get a notification telling me I missed the appointment. I have to reach out, I have to ask the questions to find more information about the issues, have to be proactive in scheduling my next appointment they know I should come in for but they just ask for a payment only after the appointment.

My boy Mack has turned into a regular over the past 3 years…Lord help me! ??♀️? With that being said, he LOVES going to the vet and it’s all because of the amazing staff at Summerfield! They love on my boy like their own and no matter what he goes in with, we always leave with exactly what he needs to feel better! I will never go anywhere else!

I have been going to this vet since adopting my new baby girl, Miley. Dr. Ballard and his team did a great job of keeping me informed after she got out of surgery. My "wrecking ball" can be a handful at times, however, the staff is aware of her difficulties and they ALWAYS accommodate us when we arrive. She LOVES humans but other fur babies, not so much. I greatly appreciate the support i get when I arrive and my appointments have been thorough and on time. Lastly, prices are very reasonable!

Highly recommend this vet to anyone who cares deeply about their fur babies! The staff and doctors are always so friendly, welcoming, and thorough. What I love the most is how they call you a day or so after the appointment to check in and see how everything is going. The only vet I know who goes above and beyond!

I've been taking my dogs here for at least 10 years, but this week was my last time. Despite large signs about masks being required, most of the desk staff and veterinary assistants were not wearing masks. I should have had the courage to say something on the spot and then turn around and leave, but I'm hoping this review will lead to some change on their part. You have to be able to put your trust in a veterinary clinic, and more than half the staff flaunting their own rules + public health sends a very strong signal about these folks' respect for their fellow humans.

I was also kept waiting in an examination room for 30 minutes after my scheduled morning appointment time. My time is just too valuable for that.

Yes I am recommending Summerfield Veterinary Hospital. They have taken excellent care of our sweet Sadie girl and her handsome brother Murphy. I am grateful for the care and compassion that was given to Sadie when she was pretty sick.

My Mom & Sister both entrust their FURBABY's care to Dr. Ballard. He is wonderful with the Clients and takes excellent care of the Pets. He takes time with you and is not afraid to think out of the Box!

I can't say enough good things. We see Dr. Thomas and her compassion and patience as we lost one of our babies was what we needed and I trust her with all my babies and I am so thankful I found this practice. We are going on ten years with them and I would recommend them to everyone.
