I waited all day for a delivery of a washer and dryer I ordered three weeks ago. The delivery was to be between 12 and 4 with a call 30 minutes before. I got a call from an unidentified number but I was on a business call. There was no message left, I tried to call the number back immediately and got no answer. I waited all afternoon and never heard anything. The online tracker gave a number to call which I did and the recorded message said the delivery had been delayed but would be there. I continued to wait. Around 5;30, I called the store and was told the delivery people were not able to get in touch with me and it will be two weeks before they can deliver! This is terrible terrible terrible customer service!! Wish I would have bought from Lowes!! I will in the future!!

We've been Home Depot customers for nearly 30 years, but this installation experience has made us never want to come back. On March 21, we saw an exterior door in the store that we liked. This started the typical dance where HD makes you pay $30 for someone to come out and measure so they can later install the item. The salesperson talked us into having another door measured as well. HD contracts a middleman, RF Installations, who actually books the local person. In this case, the local person put us off for over 2 weeks. RF Installations was sending emails saying the installation was complete when the installer had not even come yet. When he did, he did not show a badge, and he claimed that our doors were not standard size. The HD salesperson then sent us custom-order door options that cost over twice as much as what we were initially looking at--in all different sizes. We went ahead with one door, ordering locks to match the new door and two others. When the locks arrived, they were keyed differently, meaning we'd either have to drive 45 minutes and risk COVID-19 exposure at a Home Depot store, or live with using different keys on different doors in our house. But it turned out not to matter, because when the door came in, the third-party installer called once, left a voicemail that was all static, and marked us as "unable to contact." So after 32 days, we were out $700 with no door, a set of mismatched locks, and no one at Home Depot, RF Installations, or the local subcontractor interested in whether we ever got a door installed. Finally, when we called to cancel our order and get our money back, the HD salesperson never apologized or offered to do anything to make it right. She acted like we were inconveniencing her, and then waited 2 more business days to email a receipt that the amount was refunded. We had to take the mismatched locks back in person. Meanwhile, a Lowe's contractor who was working on another project at our house took measurements (for free), confirmed that OUR DOORS ARE STANDARD SIZE, and had us order 2 doors for him to pick up and install. The entire process took less than 48 hours and we have 2 beautiful new doors for $200 less. TLDR: Home Depot and its sub-contractors lied to us, wasted our time, and never cared that they have lost loyal customers for good.

I would give it less than 1 star if I could. Let's start with I spent my entire savings on a new washer, dryer, and dishwasher. Had no trouble in the store, but when the products were delivered, the installers barely knew how to install my washer and dryer. They had no clue how to install the dishwasher which is still waiting in it's box in my kitchen for someone to install it. When I contacted home Depot, they said they would have to send it professional plumbers. Another week later (and I can't use my old dishwasher, because the installers disconnected it but didn't know how to reconnect it), the plumbers didn't show up. I've now missed 2 days of work to wait for installers and plumbers who haven't shown up. Just went to use my washer, and my entire wall is soaked through. I will have to call a 24 how plumber tomorrow to come fix it. $2500 on appliances that I can't even use, and I can only imagine what repair of the damage they did is going to cost me. Run from this retailer. Should've used Lowe's or Best Buy.

Ordered a Washer, dryer, and refrigerator a week ago. Made an appointment with the sales rep. and was on my way. Well, I get a call from the delivery driver that the truck broke down on the day of the appliances delivery. Ok, I'm a truck driver and know that is used sometimes as an excuse to be late. Checked with his supervisor and is true. No problem, make an appointment for the following day. Waited 4 hours. No call, no show. I'm a little annoyed right now. Spent 2k at the store and not getting the professionalism as Homie claims. This comes after waiting a week for the appointment

I recently used Home Depot because I had a small leak in my roof and they were recommended to me through Home Advisor the sales guy came out didn't even bother to look at the roof just assumed I needed a new one and tried to push me to a $8,000+ sale of course I declined to get a second opinion turns out it cost me very little dollars to repair due to a flash that was missed this is very bad customer service and I'm glad I got a second opinion I'm just writing this review for anyone to be cautious and be aware and don't just take their word for it and to get more opinions. What if I was an elderly person not knowing any better needless to say it's seriously disgusting that they would take advantage in this way. I called the sales manager and all he did was say he was sorry and they were to train their staff better. I sure hope so because to me Its unacceptable.

CJ in Carpet and Flooring is a fantastic employee! He was very patient and kind! We weren't sure the carpet I had bought would fit in my vehicle but CJ knew I really wanted to take it all home. He and another employee (Randy?) managed to make it fit and even tied my trunk down for me! Thanks Home Depot for hiring able, willing, and courteous employees!

Their lumber is not always as good as Lowe's, and the garden center does not have as many flowers, but I have often ended up there after not being able to get any loading help from across the road. The guys at Home Depot are usually available to help - just don't go around lunch time. For some reason, they all seem to take the same time for their break. ??

Why do we like this Home Depot? B/c they are priced competitively, the staff is helpful and they have a good selection. I like their paint brands better than the Valspar at Lowe's and HD has better prices on holiday decor. Store is clean & easily accessible.
