Really terrific shop. The prices are fair. the ambiance is great. Definitely a throwback. I know Amazon and other outdoor outlets make life easier, but I drove an hour to get here and I would not let that deter anybody (would have been willing to go farther to get here). Between the handpicking flies for a trip or just shooting the breeze with the super friendly and knowledgeable staff, I really hope everybody takes the time and energy to visit one of the very few specialty, true mom-and-pop stores still in the game.

He is a wealth of knowledge on techniques, gear, and local streams, and his casting lessons are a great resource for beginner and experienced anglers alike.

I drive 2 hrs 2 this well stocked fly can get u what u need shop. Been worth the trip every time . I have 4 shops w/I 1/2 hr that sell more clothes

Ive been to this store 3 times in the last 2 weeks. It never opens on time. They make it hard to give thembusiness. I always like to give local store business before going online well this store makes you pretty much go online.So i tried yesterday to go to the store the 4th time without success. Store didnt open till 1130. I drove 30 mins there and waited 30 mins in parking lot. When i opened the door a guy said we are closed. I ask when they are open he said dont know bc plumbing leak. Well 4 trips waste of about 6 hours of my time trying to give a local store business. This is example of why amazon and ebay wins alot. No sign on the door about plumbing leak or no change of vm on phone.

Just picked up a complete fly rod outfit here and I couldn't be happier with my experience. The owner is very knowledgeable about the subject and can answer any questions you might have. He has a very nice selection of fly rods, reels, fly lines, etc. Also has a pretty wide selection of pre-tied flies if you're not into tying your own. He also has a lot of nice camping and hiking equipment.

Looked like a nice shop. Gearing up for an AT thru hike, had about $1500.00 to spend, but they've bought into the scamdemic propaganda and are imposing the muzzle mandate, so I'll spend my money elsewhere.

Richard is very knowledgeable about the outdoors and fly fishing. Has the largest selection of fly tying materials in the area. Warning: it is addictive.
