Service department is lacking. Make appointments and get off work only for them to say no appointments were made.

24 years ago Larry Black sold me one of my first brand new cars. It was a 2000 Pontiac Ram Air Trans Am. It’s the only vehicle I ever paid MSRP for. But it was the latest greatest thing out. Others were charging over sticker. Some were charging under sticker. I spent a couple hours in the dealership and after talking with him, being treated with nothing but the ultimate respect, being made to feel that as a customer I was important, I paid it and bought the car and a fantastic relationship was born between a local buyer and a local business. Maybe it wasn’t THE best deal I could have got but there was no doubt in my head that if I had a problem, Larry would resolve that problem. Larry actually EARNED my business. In fact, he earned it for many years to come and I bought probably too many vehicles from them ever since. Unfortunately, it seems those valuable small town relationships don’t matter any more there. This comes to light when you take the modern latest greatest and test those long term local relationships with the next generation. Such is the case with the Dodge Demon 170. You see…I told THEM that they got an allocation. I put a deposit down on the car. Surely 24 years of buying cars from them would have value, right? Nope. It became clear when my deposit was returned several days later that the only relationship that had any value was their relationship with Benjamin Franklin. And with that, the small town relationships with their customers died. Myron Black: These relationships gotta work two ways. If you’re not gonna get the best price, and you’re not going to get the value that usually comes with hometown customer/business relationships, then what do you get? Looks like an all for nothing situation. Side note: The remaining staff here is FANTASTIC! Great people with that small town connection. Hate the relationship is gone now all for the mighty dollar. (PS: Did you guys know that there were dealerships in NC that sold their Demon 170’s at MSRP? YEP! Team Dodge in Morganton, Hiester CDJR…want me to continue?) You had a choice on where you stood between Benjamin Franklin, and your long term customers.

Called today regarding a battery issue on my truck that is still covered under warranty. Was told if the batteries test good and they have to charge the batteries, I would be charged $130 per battery- for batteries that are COVERED UNDER WARRANTY. Truck hasn’t been starting for a week, but I need to pay for the issue or for them to figure it out for a vehicle that has a manufacture warranty?Took the truck to Gastonia Dodge and was helped immediately with zero hassle.

I worked with Carl Hall while I was looking to buy a car for my son, Carl was very helpful, honest and upfront from the beginning, he never showed me anything above what I wanted to spend but we happened to find the best fit by me looking around. The car we purchased was not new but you could have fooled me, it was in wonderful “Like New”condition”.The whole team was nice and friendly.I would recommend.

I would highly recommend working with Scott Hoffman for your next vehicle. After a brief conversation about what I was looking for, he showed me 4 trucks that matched what I was looking for. We negotiated a good price for a great truck and the loan team got my loan done quickly

I want to do this right without being boring. First off before you buy that favorite vehicle or needed vehicle, check out the service dept. Most suck. Oh they want the sale but when it comes to warranty repairs your treated like a red headed step child.( no offense to the redheads, I love you.) Went to lake Norman jeep to fix my warranty repair. I asked for three things. Keep me informed, call me with progress or issues and don't lie to me. They failed all three. They kept my jeep 4 days and still it wasn't touched. I went there and took my jeep after giving them some grief. So then I call the jeep dealer where I bought it. That was 3 weeks ago. They NEVER returned my call. I was thinking this was going to be a class action suit. But the a friend told me about Black's Chrysler, Dodge & Jeep. In 3 days after calling me with updates and not lying to me they fixed my problem. They restored my belief in customer service. They really exceed my expectations.

Superb Service and an outstanding experience!!!!! I had the pleasure of purchasing a Dodge Charger from Black CDJR this past weekend. My sales rep, Scott Hoffman, could not have been any more professional, knowledgeable and courteous. I drove to Statesville from Raleigh to look at the Charger. Scott was ready with keys and information when I arrived - very respectful of my time. Scott and his sales manager worked with me to reach a very fair purchase price, all without any pressure or sharp tactics. In fact, my interaction with Scott and the Black CDJR staff might be the best car buying experience I've ever had. I already have my eye on the mid-size Dodge pickup rumored to hit the showrooms in 2024. My first stop when it does will be Black CDJR to work with Scott and his colleagues again.

Was running late for my appointment, and I called to tell them I am on my way 20-25 min out. I was told "we have other appointments and you will be putting us behind, our next available appoinment is next week" I have been here a couple times for service over the years, usually not an issue, but every time I have been here in the past I always wait a minimum of 2 hours for my jeep to be serviced. So assuming they were running behind in the past and that is why I was sitting waiting, it was not great to hear that I as the "running behind" customer was told that I had to reschedule. You are asking the customer to stick to the scheduled time, yet when we bring vehicles in, your company does not stick to the time. Other than that I have had good service with them. I am just a little upset of the double standard they showed today.

Just starting to look at vehicles and wanting a SUV stopped by to see what they had? Test drove three jeeps. We discussed payments over a period of time, trade in and possible down payment.Wanting to stay within a budget and milage under 75,000 was getting nowhere. Payment was over $450. a month almost double what I wanted to pay. They didn't want to be bothered with my trade in because they would have to sell it to a Wholesaler, "I was told to keep it."I did receive a message and photos about a Honda Accord that came out of nowhere? "That it would better fit my budget", how is an Accord an SUV?While I don't mind a follow up call or text do not ever start message me at seven in the morning. I am asleep at that hour as are many, anything before ten shouldn't be allowed it is rude.

I called today and spoke with a person in the new car department about ordering a 2023 Dodge Demon. The person was rude, obnoxious and would not let me finish a single sentence. He spoke in 300 mph, and was the most unprofessional and unfriendly sales person I have ever encountered. Simple questions was ignored and since he had already sold the only car of that model that he had, he hanged up without as much as a “goodbye “. If he worked for me, he would be terminated immediately,.. so, stay away and try one of the many other Dodge dealerships in the area. At least they will talk to you professionally…
