Great customer service every time I come in here. They helped me today get the parts I needed for a project I was working on. I'm happy they are here, so I don't have to drive in Belmont or Gastonia traffic to one of the giant stores where no one wants to help you.

Can a surcharge be imposed on debit or prepaid cards? No. The surcharge may only be imposed upon credit cards, and not debit or prepaid cards. The amount of the surcharge may not exceed the amount of the swipe fee paid by the merchant on the particular credit cardI've contacted Josh Stein our attorney general of North Carolina the governor of North Carolina Roy Cooper and the lieutenant governor. This has been well over two months no replies. Businesses and Gaston Lincoln county are charging 4% post tax on debit cards it is illegal. You can refuse to pay just tell the business owner.Two Rules That Prohibit Debit Card SurchargesThat can result in fines, and if the breach of contract continues or is serious enough the merchant risks losing the ability to accept those credit cards. The other restriction is because surcharging on debit card purchases is illegal under federal law.

I have to give a poor review. After going there 3 different times to get a common item they have not had them. Spoke to manager and told him he was losing customersHis quote "that's ok" and I could go somewhere else. Seems to me prices are high and they are focusing on big money items. Poor attitudes. Sorry guys. I'll go somewhere else like you told me to do. Good advice anywaysResponse. I understand times are hard. But you still don't tell a customer it's okay that you are losing customers and to go somewhere else. As far as the vendor issue, I've been hearing this for 5 months now. Stanley could really use a good hardware and feed store.

When given a total price for goods and services, the customer should be verbally informed that they will be charged a 4% transaction fee for card usage. I didn’t see any sign, and it isn’t my responsibility to look for a sign that says these unethical people will charge me more than the amount articulated by the clerk. If you don’t tell the customer they will be charged additionally, that is stealing.

Well for the first time going to this hardware store it started off great! Customer Service, cleanliness, etc. After asking for a ballpark price which was quoted to be about $25 or no more than $30 to sharpen a blade and attach a side chute (we bought on Amazon) we left the mower because it sounded reasonable. Well got a call about six days later to pick it up and when I asked the total price I was told $62.60 and was never told about the 4% credit card use surcharge they gave us! Well to make a long story short they outright lied to me as the new price was $65.11 and not even close to the max $30 that was quoted. Never again to go to this hardware store! Will drive many miles to find an honest hardware store.

I won't be back. Stopped in the other day to pick up a few things. I could have went to Lowe's which was actually closer to me. But I decided to try this place and I like to support local business. When I entered there was no one working there wearing a mask. There were no signs up. No disinfectant or mask offered at the door. No one but one other person besides myself in or outside of the entire place was wearing a mask. If no one here cares enough about their employees and customers to wear a simple mask then I don't care to give them my business and money. I'll give it to a business that has more respect for me and others.
