Hardly anyone ever in the store to help for one. So you need to hire people. But two, when a friend applied to your store when it clearly said you were hiring on your website, in person you said you weren't. UPDATE YOUR WEBSITE IF YOU'RE NOT HIRING! BUT YOU STILL NEED TO HIRE PEOPLE!!!!

I have been in Bakersville for 3 years now as I have a second home here and I came to this CVS pharmacy and the staff was not helpful. I had a prescription that I needed to refill for my son as I have been here for 3 weeks for winter vacation and who seemed to be the manager of the pharmacy right away was not helpful and telling me he needed to verify this prescription to ensure it was real. I explained he could call and verify with the doctor. Then he quickly looked over it again and told me the signature was not valid because it was just initials. Someone's signature could be however they chose to do it. He quickly from the first time I spoke was not wanting to attend me and I feel that he was targeting me and being racist since I'm a Cuban woman with a thick accent. No one should be treated this way and a staff like that should be fired.

After 3 days of calling every day for a status and getting told "it'll be on the truck today" on day 4 its "we don't have it try Newland". 10 minute phone calls each time, just to waste time. I could've been told the truth day one and gone elsewhere after eye surgery but instead risked infection for a simple otic antibiotic ointment that should be readily available. Then, on top of that being told to "use the app" in a situation that can't use the app. Unreal. Why lie??

The parking lot in Spruce Pine NC is treacherous. So many potholes it is difficult to drive in. CVS doesn't have enough people working there. The registers were all not working correctly. Sad

The employees in the pharmacy used to be great. They are all gone. One pharmacist is very hateful to customers. The floors are disgusting. They haven't been vacuumed in days. I've never seen it so dirty. I'm ready to change pharmacies.

I have had a costic experience with 1 of the pharmacists in spruce pine, NC. My Dr. Called in a Prescription, 3 days later I called to see if it's ready as I was not called as usual when one of my Prescription's are ready. He said give him 45 min to and hour. I gave him 2 hours and then headed over there. It was not ready, and the next day and it wasn't ready, I asked them to fill my medication, by this time I was off this medication for a week and I just had hip surgery. He made me wait in a hot car for days and then still didn't fill it. He's also demeaned me for being short $1.20 at another time. Very rude guy. Chris is his name

I recently transferred all of my pharmacy records from Walgreens in Asheville to CVS in Spruce Pine. It was a tough decision because the Walgreens pharmacist had been there for us through so many things and helped me when I managed my mother in laws meds up til her passing. We bought a house near spruce pine about 2 years ago and made the change because of the driving distance. I had the opportunity to meet one of the pharmacists last week and believe me, it was difficult not to just say “forget it. Just send my records back to Walgreens!”. But for convenience sake and because I am a forgiving person, I am going to give this place another try. I went to the pharmacist about a request my doctor had made. I was having a reaction to one of the generic meds. The pharmacist was just as friendly as she could be and seemed like she was going to be helpful. Then she pulled up my name and saw the medication I take and her entire demeanor changed. I felt the judgment raining down! The pharmacist does not know me. She does not know how my long term doctor and I came to the decision that the medication he prescribed would be my best option. She does not know, nor should it matter, that I probably have more education and higher degrees than she does. She does not know how difficult it was for me to leave a pharmacy where I was treated with kindness and respect for many many years. And the fact of the matter is: she doesn’t have to know. She should be treating every customer with kindness and respect and NO judgment. She has no idea of anything about my life. But yet, she chose to speak to me in a condescending, judgmental way and to dismiss me as if I was just an inconvenience. I would never allow someone with her attitude and lack of professionalism to work for me. I am writing this review in hopes that someone who has authority will see it and take a closer look at how this pharmacist treats people and then provide her with the training and education she needs to work with the public.
