My wife and I just purchased some property and worked with Ted to complete the required survey. He communicated well, was easy to work with, and completed the project in a very timely manor. If you are looking for a reliable surveyor, I would recommend you use Ted and Civiltek.

I hired Ted to do a survey and he agreed to have it done in a week. When the week came around he pushed it back. When that deadline came he pushed it back again. He would tell me "tomorrow" but never show up. We scheduled our closing around this survey and were lied to several times. I noticed the owner of the company has left himself a 5 star review stating they get the job done in a "timely manner", yet I see a ton of real life customers like myself complaining he doesn't do the work he agrees to do at all. My advice: Don't hire this company to do a survey.

Over the course of a month we’ve had former survey technicians have difficulty locating irons on our property. Our property is very wooded and is very thick with briers, despite this they went above and beyond to locate the seemingly un findable irons and now we are finally on our way to getting our new home thanks to Ted! With great communication skills and determination we breathe a sigh of relief and recommend Civiltek to anyone especially those with difficult properties!

This company has been a complete disappointment, especially after seeing the positive reviews on HomeAdvisor. CivilTek was hired to conduct a survey of my property in Raleigh before we installed a fence. I contacted them in early November and they agreed to take on the project but could not give me a solid date as to when it would be complete. Although, they did promise to have it complete by the end of November. I called them on two separate occasions in November as days went by and they still had not conducted the survey. Again and again they refused to provide an exact date for when the service would be completed. Since we were not in a major rush to have fence completed, I trusted them to have the survey complete by the end of the month. Here we are, a week into December, and the survey has not been completed nor has the company ever reached out to me to apologize for missing their self-imposed deadline. I couldn't be more disappointed by them. Our fence installation project is now a month behind and I got nothing but wasted time and false promises from this company. STAY AWAY FROM THEM IF YOU'RE LOOKING FOR PROFESSIONAL AND RELIABLE SERVICE- CivilTek will promise to have the project completed again and again then never show up without any sort of warning or apology.

Do not waste your time here. We are now 3 weeks past the promised completion date. Along the way I kept being told “it’ll be done tomorrow”. Many tomorrows later and it’s still not done.

Zero Stars should be an option!!!There only 4 Star review is from the owner himself!!!!!You can not believe a word Ted or Roy tell you. They lied to me, my wife, the buyers and both the buyers and seller Real Estate Agents. They missed multiple deadlines and even after promising to my crying wife it would be done.Even after offering to pay double if he could meet the final deadline.I was forced to forfeit a 1 acres residential lot to avoid violating my sales contract be cause of Ted's empty promises.His lies and incompetence cost me over $40,000Run the other way now.....Ty

Took 6 months to get the survey done right and dozens of calls and going to his business several times and waiting. Do not try to get Ted to do anything. He will take your money and waist a lot of time and effort.
